Taking a flight out of Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport doesn't have to be dull. I managed to get upgraded to VIP for my recent flight out of Russia. What does an Airport lounge look like in Moscow, Russia in 2024?

Never used an airport lounge. This one is about $60 Australian so I wouldn’t get the real value as our dollar is so weak

Impressive modern airport and lounge. Very happy to see it there in Russia. The lounge is named after Kazimir Malevich. He was a famous avant-garde Russian artist late 19th early 20th century. Thank you for the walk around. Enjoyed.

A very nice airport! First-rate! The circular lounge at the terminal where passengers can relax while waiting for their flights is awesome. Russell, I completely understand why your wife enjoyed her time at the lounge. 😄 This first-rate airport looks a bit quiet, but its continued smooth operation is once again evidence that Western sanctions are _not_ working as intended. If they were, Russia's aviation industry would have been devastated. It is quite apparent that the Russian government and aviation industry found a way to counter the sanctions. Great content! Thanks for sharing!

Once I upgraded to this status at Domodedovo Moscow airport. It was ok. Then I saw the regular departure area and it was a way more convenient than the VIP one. The regular area had more options.

Wow - world-class lounge. Here in St. Louis, Missouri (STL), our main terminal was built in 1956 1956 1956 1956... 70 years ago About the only thing added to the terminal was a little room for service dogs to poop in peace. that's it.. 70 years old and America is superior to Russia?

No beds, but a lot of sofas, and sunbed type lounges you can lay on or relax on. If you have a long layover, especially people flying internally in Russia, then coming here to connect to an international flight, its perfect.

As someone who has tested business lounges in different countries of Europe and Russia, I can say that in Russia they are quite ok. Both in European business lounges and in Russian ones, the food is not bad, but no matter how much you should expect something special, this is not a restaurant. Sandwiches, soups, ordinary coffee. Alcohol is often paid for. The best business lounge in terms of food was in Germany (in Munich or Frankfurt, I don’t remember exactly). There was good beer and good sausages.

Russel, the numeration in SVO is indeed over 140, its not fake to make it feel bigger, numeration starts in Terminal D, continues in E and F, then B and ends with gate number 146 in Terminal C where you were walking.

Nice lounge, I really don't fly and the largest one I have been to that we dropped off family is Orlando lol, BTW Russell, a trick I learned from a South American friend on kiwi, just cut it in half and spoon it out, much easier!
