What a struggle it has been for me to start out 2025. Between sickness, cold weather and just not being able to catch fish I just need to get back on track.

Quality over quantity brother. Your videos are the realist ones I’ve ever seen. Don’t force it, the fish will come. When the weather gets nicer, you need to get out on that goat pond with your kayak. I’m sure there’s some hidden giants in there somewhere . Hope you’re back to feeling 100% soon.

The weather has been crazy again for us this year up north. Glad you were able to get out and catch a few. Primary assist to your buddy for the open pond invitation and secondary to that cool new bug lure. That's going to catch plenty. I live in NW AL, and it's been rough for me all of January as well. Plus, it gets dark here an hour earlier than where you're at, so im ready for the time to change back. It's been really nice this week, so I'm hoping the fish will be biting Saturday. 👊👍

I completely understand! We've had a lot of single digit days and then ice. Tried ice fishing twice, then had to work basically until it was dark, so i haven't been able to fish much in the last two months!

January has been a frustrating month. Nice to see a few fish caught on the new Bluegrass Bug. I know I've said it before, but I really hope that you and Ethan have plans to put this out in a 1.2 - 1.5 inch version. In the meantime, Lord willing, I'll be giving those "full size" bugs a try myself in just a few weeks.

Personally I’m fine with less quantity during the winter as long as quality stays consistent. Some channels try too hard to make content when it’s just not there. This was a great video. Keep the quality there John and don’t worry about quantity. The quantity will come back soon.
