Maps are and were important during war times. Why do you think the opposite side always sent in spies to steal or create a map of the enemy base and camps of operation. Anyone can have access to public maps, but it's when there is suspicions to such usage like the portrayal in this fictional show, the Authorities will often investigate.

The rest of the episode: The woman at the door is Donna, Chrissy's mother. She believes they've come to tell her she had died as she has been missing for two years. As they talk to her to get more information, she lets it slip that she knew Bobby's name before they told her. Turns out, she had also been catfishing him using her daughter's photos. At first they believe that Bobby killed Eric out of jealousy, but phone records showed that Donna had been the one to set him up. They try to get Bobby to testify against her but he refuses, after Donna had one of her ex-boyfriends send him a letter in jail saying that Donna was taking the fall for Chrissy. She had him say Chrissy was hiding because she was scared and wanted him to protect her mom. They visit the ex-boyfriend who sent the letter and find out Donna's relationship with her daughter was very bad and she was very jealous of Chrissy. He let Chrissy stay with him during one of their fights. At some point Donna found out and killed her. He mentions she was worried about his cellar flooding, so they go take a look and find Chrissy's remains. The DA where the ex lives charges him for Chrissy's death since it was his property. Just when it looks like Donna will get away with both murders, they finally convince Bobby that Chrissy is dead and he testifies against Donna. She is found guilty and sentenced to 25-life. They implied the other DA will also charge her for Chrissy's murder instead. I get why they didn't post the full version, this video ended up only being from the first 15 minutes and the rest was waaay longer than I expected because there were like 5 plot twists :P
