Brilliant effort Matt and what a hole in one. Great to watch you change as a golfer who used to get angry when you hit a bad shot to being calm and collected and just getting on with the next shot. So good giving the ball to that young lad, some pga pros wouldn’t even have thought of that. Keep going and enter agin next year. Really enjoy your content along with Finch, Carter, and Shields. Great effort from all 4 of you. Golf is hard but you make it fun.

Well done Matt, very enjoyable to watch. I love your strategy to solving a double boggie with a hole in one. You worry to much about what others think and that stays in your head which appears to tighten up your game. Stay loose, keep postive thoughs, have fun and enjoy it. Your playing golf obviously something you really enjoy and we all know it is a really difficult game that comes with good and bad bounces....All the best next year in qualifying you can do it and we will be here to watch it.

Was great to see you in person on Monday Matt, saw the hole in 1 on the 3rd ( playing around 200 yds) great shot. As a Fulford member was gutted to watch the tee shot on the 1st saw out of bounds but you fought back to a solid finish. 😀

Played Fulford a couple of years ago. All I can remember are lots of bunkers and a plaque for Bernard Langer climbing a tree to play a shot.

I live in Fulford and have played the course quite a lot. It is a lovely course, but can be very punishing at times. Great round of golf Matt, you may be gutted with the result, but you have become so much more consistent recently and that first shot showed the first tee pressure got to you (and that probably affected the mindset for the first few holes). Gutted, as I was going to come down and watch a few holes, but didn't know if it was allowed, missed out on witnessing the ace!

Lots of good golf especially back 9 , and you kept battling ! 7 shots from playoff to qualify though . I think and hope you can qualify in the future , but needs lots of practice sessions and competitions , not sure you would have the time ? Anyway an interesting journey , all the best .
