You should never feel bad for getting things that match your skin tone. It’s a thing that most of us take for granted. Just because you have it doesn’t mean you have to use it if it’s the wrong color. Life is too short to make something work for you when it should be right from the beginning. The Makeup Forever foundation was my go to. I have not tried the new formula. Personally, I have about 13 foundations. I don’t think it’s overkill at all! Enjoy!

I never have the right shade and am constantly mixing to get a shade match. I am taking my Sephora gift cards this weekend and I am splurging on a foundation that actually matches my skin!! You've inspired me! Also, your sweater looks so cozy!! I love it! The Revlon quads you got are really pretty toppers. They aren't very pigmented but look beautiful over a matte. The Coloupop BFF is my ride or die liner. You will love it!

No judgement at all- but in future to stop you from feeling this way- I would institute like a caveat that if you have been working on freebies, gifts, etc in a category for a year and you want to get one within those 12 months- you are totally allowed. So lets say for the mascara or eye primer.... if you get to the end of the year and you have done your due diligence on the ones in your collection and havent worked through all them but you really want to try something new- buy the one you really want. One isnt going to affect your collection by much and it will keep you from getting to a point that you found yourself in with the foundations. :)

I think it can also be great to get a bunch of things you really want to try and will love. At the end of the day makeup is supposed to fun and not a ton of work/annoyance (even if one is trying to be a more conscious consumer). 🙂

I live vicariously through you in your foundation purchases! I don’t really use foundation anymore so I don’t buy them, but it’s fun to see you get ones that you’re going to love. A good foundation really does bring out our natural beauty to the point of looking more perfected, and not overdone or caked on. I remember years ago before they had an inclusive shade range, I either looked like an Oompa Loompa or a skinny, brunette version of Miss Piggy with a medium pink based foundation, when my skin is light neutral. 😳😂😅 🐷 Also I say it every time, but I miss Paulina! I’m happy that she’s spending time with her baby and partner so I’m glad that she’s in a good place in her life. ❤

@@AlejandraLisette The guy I’m currently seeing did the same for FB and IG a few years ago too for his peace of mind and because of people getting nosey in him and his child’s lives (he’s a full time single dad). I find it invasive of my privacy and I don’t have time to see constant posts or updates from 100’s of people, most of whom I don’t even talk to. Yes, it does make people reach out to us in a more personal way instead of just inviting us via FB or commenting on a post. I think the trend, at least for our age group is people deactivating most of their social media pages. It can be a toxic place and we are all too old for the social media drama/arguing with acquaintances or family online over politics or other stuff. 😅

NO LISTEN- I finally broke down I august and bought the double wear for my wedding, and when I tell you I’ve saved so much money because I actually like the way my foundation looks on my skin!! Elf pointless putty primer + double wear is my new forever base. I have the sneaky balm for non-full best days but I always feel confident and beautiful in my skin now that I’ve started wearing the double wear!

Yes to getting the things you want and that work for you. I remember my mum taking me to Bobbi Brown for my first real foundation because I could not find anything that matched and it bugged me so much and what a difference having the right shade made to how I felt. You picked up great products.

I'm glad you're happy with your foundations! While it's nice to use up products, enjoying your products is more important. This year I finally tried the EL Double Wear and wow! I think you'll really enjoy it. Save the pumps from decluttered foundations to use in the EL. Most are universal, though you may need to swap out the straw (no idea what it's actually called) for a shorter or longer one to fit the bottle.

I have a question about the credits -- for the products you showed with pan (the Loreal base and the Becca corrector) - you put .5 credits in your bank. When you finish them, do you add the remaining .5 credit or do you add a full credit when you finish in addition to the .5 for hitting pan? Sorry if it was explained in the rules and I missed it.

No worries. I was asked this already. I only put products with pan knowing they will take me a while to finish. Both these products took over 6 months just hit pan. They will be here for a while so I don’t see myself having them as empties anytime soon. I have held back in the past from adding any points on products with pan because I know they will be done quick. Hope that answers your question 😁

I am not sure if you realized -- you said you got the It Cosmetics CC Cream and they changed the packaging, but the product you were holding was Bye Bye Foundation (not the CC Cream). Hopefully you can exchange for the one that you wanted! Also, life is too short for wearing makeup that doesn't suit you! Also Nars have my favourite shades for foundation: I use Guadeloupe and Stromboli in the sheer glow. Also I just bought the LA girl blue foundation mixer and it is magic for my olive skintone!

My very first foundation was the Clinique Stay Matte foundation in Stay Neutral, but for that beyond perfecting foundation, I was color matched with the shade Sesame… (I also have a neutral undertone). You deserve all of those foundations you purchased, my friend! Enjoy them! I was going to ask what you thought of the green color corrector from LA Girl! 😂

Glad you chose some foundations that work for you, my only hesitation is that they might expire/oxidize in the bottle before you can work through them. Also, fellow light olive human, try using the green corrector to neutralize peachy or orangey foundations. It could be the lighting but even in this video your neck looks more green olive than your foundation. Great video, I was engaged the whole time 😄

The lighting always does that to me and even the shirt I wear does that on camera. It’s always a struggle to make my face look like it does in real life. I am keeping the foundations away from windows do have them not go bad and I do wear makeup about 24 days out of the month so I don’t see many going untouched

From what I've seen, you can use the DM blurring balm powder as a primer, a light foundation or a powder, but it seems to be a finicky product 🙃

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with you buying something you really wanted. I am a bit of a conscious consumer now after I went a bit crazy last year (I grew my makeup collection from scratch) and now if I really can’t stop thinking about something I buy it but I haven’t really bought any makeup this year except for some Essence lipsticks.

By the way, you and I are foundation twins when it comes to using Bare Minerals and then L’Oréal True match being out first ones. I also used Bare Minerals for several years exclusively and then went through True Match twice before YT happened and I fell down the rabbit hole 🤣🤣🤣
