I Had No Idea How to Be An Astronaut | Alex Delorey | TEDxMilton

Alex DeLorey is one of seventeen finalists to join Canada's astronaut corps. While this is exciting in its own right; Alex's experiences on Nuclear projects in New Brunswick and the efforts he's made to increase his likelihood of success are truly inspirational. Alex DeLorey undertook a grand journey to be a finalist to be in the most
recent Astronaut Recruitment Campaign with the Canadian Space Agencey.
He is an accomplished professional engineer and project manager and
has worked on projects across the globe. His has been inside nuclear reactor
vaults, performed life-saving rescues and in his spare time learned to
fly, scuba dive and skydive. He continues his work in the nuclear field,
managing projects as part of a major program to refurbish six CANDU®
nuclear reactors on the Bruce Peninsula and is constantly working towards
