I remember when the game Gladius came out and... I want to say Game Informer (one of the magazines) made fun of the name. They pointed out it just meant "sword". It'd be like if a shooting game was just called Gun.

Gladius was a great game imo. Just bought it on GC the other day. Sadly, the disc had a small pinhole in it and didn't play, and I had to return it. They did not have another copy 😢

I wish I knew you were looking for the game you described. It’s not Cybernator / Assault Suit Valken, it was on SNES called Metal Warriors on SNES. I don’t know if there was another name for that game in Japan or anything. But the game you described where you can get out of the mech and go into others is Metal Warriors. That being said, I find Cybernator the superior game.

You can use clear shipping tape to get sticker residue off. Take the box art out, then peel the stickers off the best you can. After that roll some tape sticky side out and quickly stick and unstick on top of the label residue until the residue is gone.

When you're buying used games, it might be best to just buy spare cases. Kids today just won't be able to understand what gaming was like back in the 1990s where all we had to go by was the front cover and back cover of the packaging of a game and hope that it's good; especially since SNES games back then didn't have a standardized price and games could be like $50 ~ $100+ each. $50 in 1990 would be about $119.95 today.

“KiDs tOdAY jUsT wOn’T bE AbLE tO uNdErStAnD WhAt gAmInG wAs lIkE iN tHe 90’s..” I say this as a kid born in the early 90’s: Why patronize? Kids DO NOT choose when they are born. Kids of today are growing up in an era where technology is so advanced that we have pocket sized super computers in our pockets where everyone with such devices can access information with a mere press of a button. Comments like yours are always so incredibly cringeworthy. Kids don’t need to understand what it was like to game in the 90’s because they are in an entirely new subset of culture and generational experiences.

to remove those stickers i recommend white spirit....it also works on gameboy labels without damaging it when somone was so lazy to put a sticker on the label. I'm also using white spirit on card board like from a N64 Game, put it on the front of the label and let it soak a little bit and you can peal it up easierly and the glue becomes like silicone that you can also get rid of with more white spirit.

5:45 Ah, yes. Stickers with far too efficient adhesive for the intended purpose. I have a local game store that loves using that kind and thinks it's perfectly acceptable despite me, a customer, complaining about them. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm glad they don't put them directly on cartridge game labels, but they do put them on retro console boxes and print media like game guides. It's so stupid, and a great way to ruin/devalue the product.
