That single tool pouch (MDPSU100) is made to hold the Makita electric screwdrivers (Makita TD022DSE) which are widely used by Japanese electricians in place of an impact driver for lighter applications. If you hadn't yet reviewed them, you should review the makita screwdrivers. They have an international versions that fit 1/4'' hex and they have their own JDM versions for their anvil sizes.

Cheers mate. I remember seeing a heap of different coloured ones in their setups. Maybe I should jump into one and trial it out. Thanks for the info

belt clip is pretty sweet, that triple bit holder though 🤩

They look nice. Will be keen to hear how they go after some use and loaded up. I agree with a couple others though on the point of sliding pouches on and off. I run the tough built belt with few different combos for depending on the site and even the tasks im doing. Loving having it

In the 80s, we older gentlemen in Australia only had the choice of the Marvel MA 880 pinch cuts and the crescent equivalent until channellocks and Marvel cross cuts arrived.

Hate having to feed pouches/accessories on belts. Much rather clip-on/modular stuff.

I just picked up the padded Makita belt in replacement of their other belt with the plastic buckle on it. I know what you mean when you say way more comfortable. I found it would dig into my waist, and was abrasive on the skin with my sweaty shirt moving around underneath it.

Have a look at the katipo tool belts which are made here in NZ. Or the diamondback belts. I'm personally trying to save up for a katipo belt and a couple of other pouches

the marvel belt & pouch looks pretty average.. i was going to import the tajima belt and it's modular clip-on tool holsters and pouches but when i saw the mod & rip belt from holstery, i went for that instead. don't know how i used to work before getting their magnet pro and jolly roger (hammer holster). currently just waiting to pair it up with veto's mp2x (out in the US) but not here in Oz yet....

tool belt or tool bag for apprentice sparky, ive heard belts can get in the way of your work, what do you use more?
@AddictedtoTools11 ай бұрын
Hey mate, it depends on the work. Not great if you’re crawling through a ceiling or if you’re around finished walls. But if you have to carry a few tools and bits of gear, it’s perfect to have. I don’t know anyone that doesn’t own one. But they use it when it’s required. I hope that makes sense

I think it's gonna depend on what work you're doing. I'm an apprentice working in construction and personally have a belt and a bag so I can switch things up depending on what tasks I'm doing on a given day. A belt isn't gonna be super helpful all of the time, but is an absolute game changer in the right situation I've found From what I've heard if you're in a workshop setting a belt is less necessary but I can't speak from experience
