11:20 for reference, when outside in that extreme cold, the blood vessels towards the outer parts of the human body constrict, forcing the blood to increase circulation in the core- a survival technique we have evolved over the eons, designed to ensure the core stays warm. When you returned to the van, those outer vessels opened up and the blood rushed from your core out to the extremities (we have evolved over many eons, well before diesel heating in Ducato vans were invented.) In extreme cases it can cause a heart attack- not good if you're alone in Norway miles from anywhere. If you ever suffer hypothermia, don't do what they do in films of jumping into hot baths or showers- that can be fatal. PS this is my second time watching this trip to the Artic. The first time it was on in the background to begin with before I started watching it seriously- now I'm recapping on the first few episodes. It really is an excellent series and I'm looking forward to your trip to Southern Europe. Due to bad luck I might be moving out of my house and into a van full time and your design for the Ducato is very similar to what I have in mind. Great design.
