Resetting your life and starting over is very scary. But it's worth the risk. Living a life that isn't fulfilling leads to far more stress in the long run. If you are feeling the need to change up your life, start doing it now. It will never be the 'right time', and it's always going to be uncomfortable. But it's the right move.

Just quit my job as a teacher this week. After 6 years. Never really loved it, and working everyday with 2 day weekends does not suit me. Got a better job working with people with brain injuries. More slowpaced, and ALOT more freetime. Fills me with such joy just thinking about my new life.

Interesting that you look at a life reset as a (dramatic) u-turn. I look at it like a bomb. I feel like I just blew my life up. I quit my job and ended a relationship a few weeks ago. I'm now traveling around the US and as soon as my lease is up in August, I'm going to give up my apartment and travel around Asia with my daughter and homeschool her. I feel completely insane sometimes, but it is the only thing that feels right. I like how you think your goals and dreams are right when they seem crazy to everyone else. I aspire to that level of confidence! I am definitely taking huge risks, but it still feels difficult for me. Thanks for always keeping it real.

You can't wait. I'm 54. I wish I would've done every year like I did in my 20's, where I had no fear, I was adventurous, I just had that feeling of Trusting in what I was doing and myself, "Knowing" that point B was way better than point A. I felt the disconnection of the hustle and bustle right away. I stood outside in front of the Grand Tetons and just was amazed at the sky, even on a rainy early morning into a beautiful sunny afternoon. Taking my first shower in Yellowstone and walking out into the fresh crisp mountain air. The trees and wildlife everywhere. The feeling when you meet people who love nature and peace too. The shops in town, the lodge feeling. End of the year party. Since 95' I still forever am attached to the Rockies. After living in a small suburb in Colorado, and living in Cheyenne (WY), stayed in a small box of a cabin in Kalispell (MT) walking to an outhouse at night hearing branches breaking and wolves howling, with only the stars and moon to light the sky, it's an amazing adventure and feeling. Those Mountains are Calling again! When I boarded the plane at the airport near Jackson, the plane for Michigan flew away, looking down below I can hear the wilderness calling to me "telling me not to leave and to come back!". Maybe it's The Blackfeet/Gros Venture Tribe Blood in Me, Not really sure, but I felt it. Feel like part of me literally was left back there. "Keep swimming, keep Swimming" there IS more out there from what we've known. Thanks Tim!

Always a pleasure listening to your videos, Timothy! It’s been a while. But I was sitting here second guessing myself and thought I could use a pep talk. In 2019 I developed a neurological disorder and became paralyzed. I was 29. It was life changing. No matter what I knew my life was going to get different, but I made a goal that I would be able to walk again, and that I would go hiking once I could. Now March 2023 not only am I able to walk but I just went hiking!! I did it! But why am I mentioning this? I feel pressure from family and others to get back into the corporate workforce. You see, once I was able to start working again I got a part time fully remote customer service position. Much different than the corporate job I had before. Much less money, and my degree isn’t being used. But the thing is, I don’t ever want to go back to the corporate 9-5 life! I want to travel everywhere and hike mountains around the world! I love my part time job. It pays my bills anyway, so who cares? It gives me more time off than I’ve ever had. And since it’s remote, I’m trying to figure out how I can just travel while taking days to stop and work. I have so many plans. I don’t want to be sucked back into a life I hate. One never knows what can happen. My condition could come out of remission and I could end up in a nursing home again. It could happen to anyone!! Life is too short to spend it being miserable and watching your dreams fly by. Much love Timothy

I don't know if I've done the right thing but I keep casting my line out with either fails or no bites. After a few short years this bit my line and supply me with a lil income. I've ran my own business for over 25 years and since I was at the age of 18 all I've known is working 2 jobs or 2 jobs and school full time Then running a business that gave me absolutely no real personal life, yet, it was safe. I'm 54 now it's time to live and I've been saying that for a few years...that life is not dress rehearsal... we only live once. I'm looking at it as it's time for me to listen to my own words and follow through. I went from having so much stuff (bc I kinda grew up poor) and being so overwhelmed of organizing and cleaning everything to "why do I have all this crap I dont use" which made me feel so much better as I got rid of more and more over the years. then realizing I dont need a big house or a house in general. moved into a minivan and i still dont use all the stuff i have in there. it takes more time and energy to do basic things and takes alot of creativity to pull it off but i love not having a roommate!!

Nice film Tim thanks again for the positivity and motivation, I personally like these shorter walk and talks, I usually listen first thing in the morning whilst getting ready for the day. Cheers fella.

I never thought about courage that way but looking at my own life I think you're right. Things that didn't seem brave at the time I look back and I think how did I do that? How did I get through that? It comes to you when you need it!
