My poor co-workers come to work miserable everyday, barely can see their own kids, working 3-11 or 9-5 only having 8 days out of 31 days off, has of them dedicated to adult work. It's to the point that work is their life, they come to work make a big deal about little things like Maybe a pen is missing of their desk or some slight changes happened at their job. Lashing out at everyone, expecting everyone else to go above and beyond for the job because they have nothing. I have managers pressuring me to work harder become a boss don't go part time, saying I'm being reckless. But I just want to find myself, have time for my boyfriend so I can decide if I want to marry him. I don't want to kill myself for a job, I don't want to feel trapped because "It's reality: "being miserable is apart of adult life" 😭😭 thanks for being someone to spread these messages, we don't have to be a slave to work. We can try to live!

After I left the Marines I started working a normal job again. After watching the older guys who have been working at my place for 15-20 years plus I secretly made up my mind. 1. I cannot let the little kid in me die in at a factory job. 2. I don’t want to waste 20 years or more of my life becoming pissed off that I wasted my young potential. 3. I don’t want my 401k so I don’t contribute to it. I don’t want my 401k telling me when I should retire (65). Instead in invest in stocks. 4. Coming from a Marine background I’m used to a team player work environment. In the civilian world it’s a “fxxx you, not my problem” mentality. It’s disgusting to see that.

I learned 'do the opposite' early on. When skiing I'd go in for lunch at 11:00 and there would be plenty of room & food, then I'd go back to the slopes at 12:00 and everyone else was going in. People are PROGRAMMED. Use that mindset to one's advantage.

Most people want the stability and routine of working weekdays, 9-5. It also has to do with 'running' a family. I wanna have no routine and work other hours and other days, whenever I want to for any amount of time I like to. Don't wanna be part of the herd or be active when the herd is. Hate mainstream but it never rewarded me that I wasn't following the herd either.

For most of my life I played by the rules and I didn't see it getting me anywhere. I went back to school and got another degree in a field that I knew and enjoyed. I video chatted with some folks from my classes and I came to find out that a lot of them didn't seem happy in the positions they are in. Their expressions made me realize that I was better off working towards doing what I brings we joy then going along with the program. Grant you I still work at the same job I had while attending school but it allows me some ounces of freedom to work on other things and not be weight down by work. Going against the grain is not easy but necessary if you want to create the life you want.

I´ve always done what I want to do and what is best for me. Right now the best advice I have is to stop looking for a relationship. I´d always been in a relationship until 5 years ago for three decades I had a husband or a boyfriend. That´s when I realized that being single was my calling at the time. Try being single and proud of it. Not involved in any kind of sexual, romantic or live-in relationship. It´s amazing how much push back I get from society as I am a single female who people think should be attached. I am loving it and devote myself to god, to nature, to myself. It feels wonderful. I don´t know anyone who is in a relationship who is truly happy. I think the time has come for us to reach up to the energy of god.

This is so absolutely true! It is amazing to me how people judge a person for being different, even when the thing you are doing different has zero effect on them. I know for me it can be a mundane situation, like I don't eat much at all during breaks or lunch at work, and this triggers many questions and disapproval. It does seem if a person does not follow a norm it is upsetting. I believe if people can't get you into the heard mentality it is threatening , you are not conforming. Another, what you don't want 18 hours of mandatory overtime per week? Lol.

That title is what I have been doing since before the time I have real memories of. The people telling me to follow their instructions were miserable, had to work all day, had no agency in their own decision making, and lived for work and paying bills. So yeah, I always knew that going against them was the way uphill while society is spiraling downwards. Now I live "in poverty" in a forest cabin, and will use my old camper to move to my new place literally up the mountains in a sunnier climate. More space, more quiet, and a view from my terrace that is nothing but mountains and forest and the ocean just beyond that. Sure, getting groceries will take some time and effort with a big backpack and a BMX, but I plan on growing a fruit forest to live of myself, and a vegetable garden to cook for my pack of rescue dogs. Space a plenty :D

This is my favorite video of yours so far. I was just thinking about how everyone is trying to be an entrepreneur now, and feel a sense of dread about this. I think we know in our gut when things are not "right" yet the push to follow is hard to resist. Even with some of my closest friends who do give me valuable advice, I sometimes have to remember to ignore their advice and turn inside and follow the beat of my own drummer. I've had some very difficult struggles due to my own wiring of my brain and sometimes don't trust myself. Yet it is so true what you say. We have to learn to listen harder to our own inner voice. We all have wisdom whether we know it or not. Thanks so much for that reminder.
