IHYD is my fav Commander show. No pointless special effects, no cut-in interview scenes that make it feel like a Reality TV show, literally just the decks popping off. We need more!

Those cut in stuff is so fake. Imagine: "hey let's pause the game for a second so you can go the other room and make some comments on the situation" or even worse "hey it would be fun if you commented the play after it happened. And yeah just ignore the info you shave now and ignore what happened afterwards" Really don't like it

Every time I saw it, I had one thumb rule: remove on sight, twice. If my hand had no removal for it as soon as it came down, I'd mulligan it away. It could get that strong.

14:56 With dhalsim you should be drawing for each player hit. Not just one card. 25:48 Eriette should be draining for each aura you control, even if it’s on an opponents creature. You had ghoulish on and didn’t drain a few times.

Back in one of the Duals of the Planeswalkers games, they errata'd Serra Ascendant to read 5 more life than your starting life rather than 30 life. I really wish that errata had carried over. So much more fair in EDH.

Saw vadrick* My reaction to this video yesterday* Sees vadrik: " must be an old video nobody plays him on camera" Check and the video was put up 2hrs ago. WAIT WHAT LETS GO BABY! Finally! One thing that i love about this channel is the variety of commanders that get show cased. A lot of the other channels just post the same pods of commanders, and while it's entertaining, it gets rather old after a while. Thank you guys for breaking the norm.

For the "food isn't a creature type" thing, you could always do a Rise and Shine effect a pile of food tokens, making them creatures but still Foods. Then Bernard would grant +2+2 and trample for as long as they're still creatures!

Night if the Sweets revenge is bonkers. Your food golem tokens can tap for mana too. Makes a bunch if mana dorks!

I play an Eriette deck on Arena I call Death and Taxes. It lets me teach all I meet an very important life lesson to all. I like that Brenard playstyle though might see about that in the future. A great game all around I was so ready for that Vadrik pop-off.

I run a pretty strong Vadrik deck and honestly once he gets 3 power and either Birgi or Storm-Kilm Artist it's kinda over. One of my favorite decks I own. However, when players see it once you're normally the threat moving forward.

What i've learned any time someone has pulled out a Vadrik deck is the table always needs to kill the them as fast as possible and then get on with the rest of the game 😂

33:48 just a little tip for lynch. Odric triggers on each combat step not your own (irrelevant at this exact moment, but hasnt been mentioned yet), and since stonecoil has pro multicolored and reach, you couldve blocked the eriette at no risk, not taken 6 commander damage, AND prevented manny from gaining 6 life from the aura’s lifelink.

Also manny has missed at least two eriette end step triggers at this point and the ghoulish impetus on ray’s creature still counts towards eriette’s trigger even though it’s enchanting a creature he doesn’t control.

With brenard you are correct in that food isn't s creature type but that det had a lot of things that make food tokens that are also creatures and he gives any food creature his buff as well

Not sure it would have mattered in scheme of things but @25:48 when Manny passes the turn, each of his opponents should have lost 1 life and he would have gained. Then at the end of the next turn, each opponent would have lost another 2 and every susequent turn. Vahan would have been much closer to dead.

I have a question regarding some cards I have in my dinosaur deck. Say I have Wayta, Trainer Prodigy on the field as well as a Marauding Raptor. If another dinosaur enters the battlefield and the raptor damages it, would that trigger marauding raptor an additional time? I don't think it would trigger the first part of the last ability since that was caused by an etb not damage but would it give my raptor +4/+0 rather than +2/+0? I'm very confused by the wording here.

Manny shouldn't have gained life at the beginning since he didn't have another aura attached to his creature. He literally says it and then gains life anyway

I don't think it would have really changed the game at all, but there were a couple missed Eriette triggers at the end of that player's turn. Sometimes, those one or two extra life could have been the deciding factor into who wins or loses.

Is it just me, or is Eriette's ability "Loss of life"?... "Loss of life" isn't the same as damage done by a source, right? If so, doesn't that mean her ability wouldn't cause commander damage? (Edit: Looked it up, I was right. Damage causes loss of life, loss of life isn't damage.)

Commander damage is also only counted for combat damage, so her ability wouldn't add to it anyway.

Buyback is an additionnal cost tho. It doesn't work with Vadrik's static ability. He rules that spells cost x less to cast, but buyback is activated once the spell is already on the stack, therefore already paid for.

They really should do something to distinguish types like super types in bold creature types in regular font and odd subtypes like shrine, treasure, food etc. in parentheses or something similar. Very confusing to newer players.

Love the channel but I have to say I’m not a fan of that one guest who runs infinite combos. I believe last time he was on he went infinite turn 3. Don’t get me wrong I think infinite combos are cool to see but when I’m watching a MTG channel I like to see longer games play out rather than games ending turn 3. Just an opinion. Either way love the channel.

At 36:01 the Vadrick player cast Seething Anger with his buyback reduced with Vadrick ability to reduce the buyback cost. I'm pretty sure that doesn't reduce buyback cost. Is there something I missed?

Well, you missed that you could just google it instead of saying "pretty sure". Buyback is reduced with Vadrik as well as Overload. Cyclonic Rift for 1 mana etc.
