That notebook is a genius idea. I never really stood still by it but I do dislike the fixed location of pages within notebooks. Always afraid that ideas that belong together are separated by dozens of pages. Going to look into making one myself.

@@Miscast I like the idea of the modular system you've created to slot things in to your game. I think that writing up the "system" separate to the "background" is a good idea. It allows you to clarify the mechanical aspects of the game before diving in to the fun stuff. It also allows you to more easily modify the system to reflect new ideas created during creating your background.

I love your creative process: 1. Buy a decent model that was lovingly crafted. 2. Completely destroy it in order to make something better. 3. Sculpt putty, everywhere. 4. Everything is dry, now put PURPLE EVERYWHERE. 5. MOAR PURPLE 6. ALL THE PURPLE. 7. Awesome looking model.

Whenever I watch a Miscast video I have the dumbest grin on my face, the energy in them is so wholesome and conducive to creativity that I can't help but be inspired and happy every time I watch one. I can honestly say that if not for these videos I wouldn't be painting and kitbashing at the frequency or skill level that I am now, and I'm really grateful for that.

That Notebook part was really really good. I've always used notebooks and sketchbooks, but I kinda like seperating topics, uses etc - so currently, I'm using three or four notebooks. A large one for sketches and drawings, a medium one for story-, ttrpg- and crafting ideas, and a tiny one just for quick notes and ideas and things I have to remember. As if I'd take all those notebooks with me all the time. Soooo yeah, now I'm making something akin to yours with the clip and loose sheets, on the scale of my smallest, so it fits in a coat pocket and I can always have it on me to take a note, scribble a memory, or sketch an idea, and put it where I need it when I'm back home. Perfect.

Awesome build! I would honestly require weeks to build and paint something the size of the slug-wizard, and it's SO GOOD!! IN 36 HRS!!! I thought that frilly bottom edge was called the slug's skirt, btw, but that may be just around here that it's called that. Great job on the leather-bound notebook. I agree that if everything is bound together it stops you from just letting loose. Cool idea

I love that note book. I'm the same way with my art. I love the nice paper but I get intimated by the amount of pages and nisesity to make all of it nice. My solution was to Cary 3 notebooks but I like the idea of just the sketch pad and paper clip. It's straightforward and relieves the pressure of making a finished pice. I love your stuff man and it really makes me want to keep going with my art. Hope you are doing well and I appreciate you for being so relatable and cool. Your videos put a smile on my face every time I see them.
