I Have a Mad Craving for an AMG G63!

I'm not going to lie, I've had a mad craving for the new AMG G63 since I first drove it a few months ago. When I got behind the wheel of the iconic Mercedes-AMG G Wagon a few months ago, it took me by surprise with the mix of the 4.0l biturbo V8 and S Class level of interior. So, should it be a future car in the Shmeemobile fleet?
Joined today by Sam from SeenThroughGlass, we go for a drive to be re-acquainted with the G63 and talk about it including his first impressions and whether it would be a car I should go for in future. Would it work as the ultimate towing vehicle to pull the Ford GT and McLaren Senna around Europe to various events?
With such iconic looks that have remained true to the original but with updated characteristics, the newest model G63 mixes that style with a much more luxurious interior but most importantly substantially improved driving dynamics.

I thought the same thing you did, when you said, you could trailer one of your cars for trackdays, that would be awsome ! I trailer my 2017 Kawasaki ZX10R for trackdays and you can carry everything you need with you ! I highly recommend this for you Shmee ! I'm not sure the towing capacity of the G63, but an enclosed trailer would be preferable, because you can secure everything and not worry !

As u mentioned, as a transport car and a crew car is just awesome, also the possibility of taking a car on a trailer with it is interesting and for the trips would be interesting. It might have a place on the garage, also to share km as a daily with the Focus Rs's would be a good choice.

Hey Tim! Massive fan of the video, and the G-Wagon! If you’re talking about super SUV’s the Levante S might have slipped under the radar. They are cheaper than the rivals mentioned in this video but it is still a fantastic car! My dad has owned one for the last 3 months or so and I can only say positive things! It looks fantastic, sounds orgasmic goes like crazy and is really comfortable on long trips. It would be amazing to see you make a video on one or maybe even consider one instead of the Shmeewagon ;)

Definitely, think the Shmee-wagon is a must. It'll be the perfect trip car, chase car, and Senna chauffeur. It's a lot of fun and since it's basically the GTR in SUV form it'll fit perfect in the collection. You can even do some of the same Renntech mods.

You can’t really go wrong with a G-Wagon, Tim. You seem to be already greatly interested for one. As for towing, you’ve used transports before do I’d doubt you’d tow your GT or Senna. As a support vehicle for Fuel Faction and long trips, the G-Wagon would be great.

The G is a pretty good car, much improved and updated. I like it. Could extend your range in using the car in cross country or in Dubai. But as a towing car, it would save you money on the Senna and the GT reducing the driven distance.
