Honestly something that might help you, is making all the floor the same after you delete the walls and furniture, it might help you picture things different than just where the flooring already is, because having it all different when its empty will just overwhelm when you try to create a new floorplan. Might not help though, but maybe

When I remake an interior, I have to make the floor the same and make the walls all drywall. Otherwise I get overwhelmed

The springscape home always was my favourite house in the sims 4 because it gave me such sims 3 vibes (the layout, the furnishing) and a lot of the other homes in oasis springs give the same retro vibe. ohh i miss the sims 3 ☹

a lot of the builds in oasis springs have no door just a missing wall or two, i think its supposed to make it feel like a studio type or something? or a converted bedroom from like a dining room? idk. theres a house in oasis springs i think its a one bedroom and there arent walls around the whole bedroom and i noticed like a year ago and its all i can think about.

I too dislike doing bathrooms. The only way I tolerate them is by making the bathtub far fancier then it needs to be (surrounding cabinets, drapes, or a separate levels) or throwing the laundry stuff in there.

To be honest, I think I am just a lot more chill than I should be. I never really care. I know logically they are bad houses, but I'm always like "ehh 🤷 seen better and seen worse in real life." Actually I would like you to look up wealthy and old money family homes on the East Coast here in New Jersey and New York and Connecticut. A lot of them are covered in warm wood paneling and wainscoting with beautiful crown molding and baseboards and a lot of old money homes have Chevron or herringbone patterned wood floors and 25 to 30 ft ceilings. Especially in New York City and Connecticut the catskills men's clubs in New York tennis clubs badminton clubs in New York City I think you would enjoy building one because they have 30 ft ceilings wooden ceilings warm woods fireplaces bookshelves from floor to ceiling it's just incredible Nice Chesterfield couches covered in leather and my whole thing was to tell you that I did research on this because I was very confused building in The Sims, it's very common for crown molding and baseboards to not match wood floors. And a lot of houses don't even have crown molding only more upscale houses do but a lot of houses here on the east coast have baseboarding. And built-in entertainment centers and bookshelves and intricate carving in wood surfaces usually nothing darker than cherry wood, redwood or oak. I love modern houses and houses full of concrete counters and accents and modern farm houses but I feel most cozy and warm and welcomed and inviting in old houses with wooden walls and ceilings or some places have wood paneling with wainscoting and old school copper iron copper hammered tiled ceilings. My whole point of this was to say that the majority of the time, crown molding and baseboards won't match floors. You could do like an oak colored floor high polished with like walnut or cherry walls something with a slight warmth in it nothing too red just a wood tone that's medium brown with a hint of red orange. Anyway it's just so you don't have anxiety about the whole thing but wood is really just a thing here on the East Coast and the west coast like Seattle and Portland you know Craftsman style homes are full of wood too but that's mostly in molding and ceiling beams but they have ornate wood out there as well Don't get anxious it's just a little weird looking when you look really light crown molding with baseboards with a really dark floor besides white crown molding you can use white baseboards and crown molding with any wood floor but typically you'll see floors a few shades lighter than any wood that's put on the walls or ceiling
