Hey jev since you're into duel wielding big ass strong weapons id suggest the giant crusher hammers. They're heavy af but with double buff with royal knights resolve plus some other buffs you could get it to 6k a double swing which is ridiculous

So let me get this straight, as a souls guy since Dark Souls 1, played all of them, beat all of them. But you come in as my favorite build, not only do it better than me but beat the last boss while 1. Sacrificing Damage with weapons not being heavy 2. Wearing the mimic tear helmet that lowers your damage even further 3. Wearing a Sore Seal so that you take a lot more damage than you normally would Jev, you just have inhuman amounts of determination and skill that I cant even begin to comprehend

For Radagon it helps to dodge towards him and stick on his left hip (your right), that way you avoid the aoe and "aftershock" of his hammer hits. You can also jump over his stomp attack.

I'm doing 2 playthroughs at once, one as a mage the other as a faith/strength build currently running dual scythes and I swap between both to try and stay the same within bosses and just watching the last few bosses is preparing me to hate my life but I wanna see the pros/cons of a melee based run and a spell based run

The giant sword is a reference to Guts from the manga Berserk made by the late Kentaro MIURA and he started making Berserk at the age of 15. And it was published by dark horse in 1988 for the prototype but the first real volume was published in 1990. Kentaro MIURAs art was/is absolutely Legendary and out of this world. Amazing panels, great story and characters. And just the quiet moments hits you so hard in the feels. MIURA was such a perfectionist that he would Zoom in the max and edit every single pixel to make it high resolution, his publishers would always yell at him saying that people can’t even see this on paper just stop, and he said no I have to make this absolutely Perfect. He inspired so many other anime’s, mangas, games, and some movies. Basically anything that has a giant sword in it is probably is a reference to Berserk. RIP Kentaro MIURA thank you so much for inspiration so many amazing things. RIP Struggler for your struggling has ended

Hey jev not to back seat but if you get the whetstone from storm veil the greatswords can be made into heavy greatswords with A scaling giving them slightly more damage

I was surprised he didn't have one either. There are several Whetstone Knives. The one you mentioned lets you choose affinites. There's Heavy (provides B-grade power scaling from strength), Quality (provides C-grade power scaling from both Dexterity and Strength) and Keen (which I believe gives B-grade scaling from Dexterity). That one's in Stormveil Castle behind a Stonesword door next to where that Grafted is I believe. The only other one I know of currently gives you the additional options of Magic (I'm uncertain of the scaling it's probably Intelligence) and Cold (inferior scaling; E-grade I think but gives it frost buildup on every hit without having to use grease. I love it I have it on my Banished Knight's Greatsword plus the Hoarfrost Stomp skill the damage is very nice) There are probably more Whetstone Knives but I've only just gotten to the Altus plateau

Forgot to mention: to get the Magic/Cold Whetstone Knife go to the Debate Parlor site of grace within Raya Lucaria. Exit forward into the courtyard and go left onto the hill made of dirt and rubble. You'll see two mages above you and one on the same floor as you in a room, hiding behind a bunch of nobles. Go to the one on the same floor as you, into that room. It should be in there.

@@spore9428 yeah. The other whetblades you didn't mention are the ones that allow you to add the (bleed/poison or occult) from nokron. One of the underground cities. There's the (fire/flame art) whetblade in redmane castle (radahn festival location) I think at daytime or something like that. And the last one is the (sacred/lightning) whetblade. It's in altus inside the original round table hold where the blacksmith stands is where the whetblade should be.

They typically punish you for rolling backwards in a fight, I'm glad I saw you start to roll laterally and behind radagon, that's where a lot of those aoe attacks don't hit. I was worried you weren't gonna notice, but it's not just radagon, rolling backwards is almost always not the play.

I did a play through without summons (aside from the radahn fight as it’s supposed to be played with the festival summons) and it was much, much harder starting with a new character. Mainly used the winged scythe then the blasphemous blade once I killed Rykard. Was very satisfying to do a new playthrough with no summons. Still need to get to melania in this playthrough though. I’d love to see you do it starting from the top with no purposeful upgrading/building specific character. Love all the vids and the elden ring series!!

As a first time souls player I love double colossal weapon strength setup with the great jar talisman that vastly increases max equip load so you can medium roll still. I have the heavy crusher +25 and prelate’s inferno cozier +23 and it does like 3k a pop and staggers bosses quick.

hey jev! for an attack like the one at 4:26, I always roll into radagon. The shockwave catches you if you roll backwards for any attack he does that creates a shockwave of that glowing shit on the ground so i always roll into him and it works fine most of the time.

If you're playing on pc I recommend you set up a randomizer that recently came out, its called Elden Ring key item randomizer. Set it up to being completely random no bias with all 7 great runes as a requirement for getting to complete the game. Its gonna give you a lot of content and a playthrough that's as much fun as your first I guarantee it.

Hey Jev, The greatswords jump attack is multi-hits so your determination doesn't get full value... you do the same thing but with Weapon's in the Colossal tier or even great hammers It's one big bonk so you get waaaaay more damage.
