Rebecca Jane Brown silly question but could your bike rideing have any relevance to hair growth? I know when I get in a routine of exercise like that I feel a bit better stress and mental health wise, so maybe this helps trich ? Either way it’s great you have the hair right now and I think it’s good you’ve got the mind set of seeing where things go it’s a very realistic way of looking at things :) thank you for shareing xx

So happy and proud for you ♥ I think I follow you for about 10 years now(? ) so naturally I am super happy to see you happy ^-^ Of course you are not cured, of course it is not the end of the road. But really, give more credit to yourself! You are doing so much better and you deserve to feel proud for it, we do not feel proud only when we reach the end of our road! Maybe your Faith helped you too..? I am a pagan, but I think personal faith and practices can help regardless of the religion! Keep up the awesome work!

Not only do you HAVE hair but you have genuinely BEAUTIFUL hair!!!!
@thehelpfultroll90324 жыл бұрын
I told you it was down to your hormones Rebecca, your hair looks beautiful & is the start of wonderful things for you. When my kidneys failed years ago I thought it was the end of me until the Creator God spoke with me & proved it was real, it also told me when I would have my transplant & the time it stated I told to my nurses & consultant who believed I was mad as it's impossible to know when you get a transplant & the odds are impossible to calculate. They were amazed when I was called in for transplantation as it was absolutely accurate. That's shown in my medical records as I had to be mentally assessed to see if I was OK for transplant. Throughout the whole time on dialysis I was harassed by followers of Thelema & refused to attack others on their behalf or turn against God as I knew 100% it was real & existed because of the many things it told me that came true. Your faith is well founded & is the most stable rock you could ever be on. Doubt is caused by that which is against God & should be told to leave or rebuked in the Creators name, it will try & try to make you renounce God as that is in it's nature. Stay strong & know that nothing is above the Creator God & those who have true belief in it. The Creator way well choose to guide your mom & it may set tests for her to show her faith but they will be tests such as me being told I did not need dialysis by it so I gave up for three months & survived which is impossible as a dialysis patient cannot live beyond a month without having dialysis...When I eventually had to return to having it I asked why & the Creator God replied "I did not say you wouldn't need it forever" & when I thought about that I realised it had not...A sense of humour in God. Let your mom see this please. Much love Tim

I Have Suffered greatly at the hands of those who work against the Creator for my belief as have you. I am sorry for all you have had to go through & feel the pain you have had to endure. It is terrible as you & I know all to well & I am on your side because of this.

I know I'm late but I understand the confusion. I have horrible dermatillomania and used to bite my nails to the point where I struggled to pick things up. Then one day, it all stopped. And my nails were as strong as they'd ever been. I've had backslides, I've bitten by nails. I still pick at my skin like crazy but not nearly as much as when I was stressed about EVERYTHING in my life. Now it's mainly financial 😂😂

Congrats!! I used to suffer terribly with Trich. I stopped pulling when I was 17 but i've pulled a few little bald patches over the years since(now 37) I have super thick & long hair now BUT I CANT WEAR IT DOWN! It needs to be back in a pony tail or I constantly touch, stroke and inspect it and cant get anything done 😂 like yourself I have other repetitive behaviours/ticks/ dermatillomania & Binge eating is a problem for me. I swapped hair pulling for eating 😏

Congratulations on the thick hair. A huge achievement for someone with trich!!!! Maybe managing your social media in a way that protects you a bit more has meant you weren't as stressed pulling-wise? What you said about your progress having little to do with the effort you put in makes sense too. But considering being confined indoors and other recent changes, it is lovely to hear your hair hasn't been the thing that suffered (at least). Hope my comments comes over okay :)

I haven't been keeping up with a lot of your more recent videos, but I saw the notification for this one and decided to watch, and I'm so glad I did. Thank you for creating a space that has been allowed me to feel like I'm not dealing with trich alone. When I started following 8 or 9 years ago, I didn't even know that it had a name, and your videos gave me the ability to learn about it and understand myself better. I'm so happy that you've been doing well, and I hope you continue to love being annoyed at your hair. :)

Weirdly enough, I also had a major improvement in my trich right around the first year or so of the pandemic. I have a lot of social anxiety and sometimes I wonder if not feeling the pressure to go out and interact with people helped in some way. And even though I can't say the trich is "gone," I've been able to stay wig-less since 2021.Cheers to us, right? Always ❤️

I have a theory that if this illness was caused by anxiety - the pandemic made it finally real, maybe the fact that the danger was actually real this this time forced anxiety to let it all go to the level where you finally could grow your hair. I’ve read about this (without the hair part)

I have Trich, and it started when my Uncle passed away. My mom bought me extensions and I started pulling those, now I don’t have bald spots but I have the thickness issue. So many shorter pieces of hairZ, but naturally I have thin hair. But it’s getting better, it’s so hard and it takes a psychological toll on you. You catch yourself fondling a strand and almost pulling it, and it takes so much of you to not pull that piece.

I’m in the same boat! When lockdown hit I just assumed I would go bald again. And here I am 6 months later with a full head of hair, AND eyebrows (which I haven’t had in over 6 years). I still pull from my “hot spots” and have some thinning areas but I can let my hair blow in the wind and not worry about bald spots accidentally showing. It’s a great feeling but it’s also confusing.

Oh my gosh, I had the same epiphany with my hair! I thought I was going to cut it all off (I have trichotemnomania) around the time the pandemic started, but I've let my hair grow past my shoulders, something I haven't had since high school. It's good you said in your own way "even though I seem to be over my illness, doesn't mean the rollercoaster will continue". Also, I chipped my front tooth from biting my nails and cuticles. I haven’t watched your videos in about 2-3 years, but I’m so glad I came back. I have been on the same sort of journey as you. Bald so many times and now finally. Miraculously. I’ve grown it out to about a bob. I’ve got a massive bald patch starting and have to wear my hair in a ponytail. But I’m so happy to have that ponytail. The first time I realized I was able to do it I cried. My pulling has slowed down a lot so I’m hoping that I’ll be able to regrow my bald bits and then maybe cut it to your length so it’s more even looking. But I can braid it. OMG I CAN BRAID IT

PROUD OF YOU 💖 I don"t have trich (though i immensely enjoy tweezing hairs out, and can get entranced in it when not mindful), but i have been battling with its close cousin, dermatillomania for years. I've succeeded in stopping doing it for weeks or months at a time. It comes back at times of great stress, mostly concentrating on one corner near my mouth and i never go to the point of drawing blood/creating a scab anymore. I used to have a completely bloody face, neck, back, arms, legs..... it's so hard to explain to anyone. I'd keep it from even my boyfriends of many years, and the one time i tried to open up about it with an ex, it was very badly received (he is an ex for a reason). I did it a couple times in 2020, but i am getting married in a week hence incentive to keep a clear skin !!!! I also scour my scalp in search of "DEC plugs" (those little round fat balls that are naturally produced by your hair) and it still gives me a slight "high" whenever i find one. I think it is a BFRB or OCD related stress-coping mechanism. Be gentle with yourself 💖💖💖 ENJOY YOUR HAIR BECKIE 💖
