What a fabulous in depth interview. You really start to understand how Ange ticks. And to be perfectly honest, he ticks as well as the very finest Swiss watches. No wonder players he coaches are in total awe of him .

For fans calling for his head you’ve got a short memory. We were relegated in 1977, were absolutely horrendous throughout most of the 90s with some players who were far far worse than anything we’ve got now and very nearly got relegated under Sugar, needing Klinnsman to come back and save us. Plus we played the some of the most soul destroying boring football I’ve ever seen under Mourinho and Conte. Keith Burkinshaw got us relegated but the club stuck with him, we came back up and won three cups. So stop moaning and support the team and the coach, help them through this difficult time.

Premier League fans must be the most reactive I've come across in any sport anywhere in the world. The word "rebuild' has a meaning in basketball worldwide (even in the NBA) and even in Australian Rules football, the other league I follow closely with hysterically reactive fans; but the Premier League fanbase has the patience of an 11 year old. Across Clubs; this isn't a Spurs specific comment. Just ridiculous.

Well said mate. We have a very childish fanbase.. Put it in perspective for the delusional spurs fans who were calling for Pochettino's head while simultaneously they expect success because Pochettino got their hopes up lol. Something special is gonna be needed for us to get to where we wanna get to, and it will demand that someone a bit special/extreme/strong-minded like Ange be at the helm, and it ain't gonna come over night.

@walidel-saleh6040Күн бұрын
There are plenty of whingers here, too. Like the pricks who went on strike at Woolies, recently. But I agree -- Ange should be backed, not just by Levy - but by the players and fans, for as long as it takes. The project, for him and for the Club, should not be considered over until we've won a cabinet full of silverware.

@davidthompson9141Күн бұрын
And ange does? He's taken spurs backwards and is absolutely bereft of ideas on how to fix things. Much like Ange's philosophical hero Tim sherwood, Ange talks a good game but his philosophy is out of its depth. You need more than just predictable wingplay and more defensivelu than just 2 CBs trying to cover 5 or 6 defensive positions. If we bring a decent high pressing manager, add a CDM in january and bring back paratici, we could be competing for titles by next season. Ange would still be full of excuses after he had another 5 years as his football is trash.

@walidel-saleh6040Күн бұрын
@@shayne-hf3lp You clearly haven't been awake since the middle of 2003. We were the second-highest spenders in the League, that Summer (and 4th highest in the World. Not bad, when you consider the other three sides were Chelsea (who went crazy, in the market) and Middle-East owned PSG and Al-Hilal.) And then, in this most recent Summer, we were the fourth-highest spenders in the Premier League and 10th or 11th in the World. I am no apologist for Levy, or for ENIC - but, by and large, he has bought the players identified and sought by the football department, including Ange, who said, more than once, that he has the final say on recruitment and departures. In 2023, we failed to get Tapsoba - but we got Micky Van de Ven, instead. As it turned out, a better fit, given that he is left-footed and the footballing equivalent of Usain Bolt. Our injury crisis is the worst I can remember - but Levy can hardly be blamed for that, especially as it has happened during the time the window has been shut.

Funny how it's all about the "extraordinary circumstances" and yet form under Ange has been poor for a long while. 4 away wins in 2024 is not an injury issue

@davidmcgeoch93872 күн бұрын
No, but it is a youth issue. Many of our players have never played high intensity football in three competitions before. There are going to be inconsistent results. They need to get used to putting in that effort week in, week out.
@eriklee94622 күн бұрын
@@davidmcgeoch9387 B.S. Youth issue? ..B'mouth, Brentford & Chelski hv younger squad. we are the same with Brighton. All 4 teams are higher on the table. All cost less than 25% of our squad value except Chelski
@davidmcgeoch9387Күн бұрын
@ Brentford and Bournemouth are not playing in Europe, so they can focus solely on the Premier League. Brighton has had the same attacking style of play in place for a long time. Chelsea’s squad is worth £1.2 billion. It’s not BS. What I said is the main issue that we are having at the moment. We are getting used to playing high intensity football and playing in three competitions. If we stick with the project and improve our depth we will get better results. Changing coaches every season is killing us. If we keep doing it we are not going to win a trophy for decades.
