Russia only eventually got a partial victory after flooding Finland with 500,000 more troops, but Russia doesn't have millions of soldiers anymore, and Ukraine has much more aid. Thankfully, this should go better, and they won't need to lose any of their land. Hopefully Finland will finally get its land back, too.

My Grandfather's family was lined up against a wall in their home in Bakmut and shot by Russians (revolutionaries) 100 years ago. He survived but saw his mother and one brother die that day. He and the other Mennonites from the area who were lucky fled to Canada. He homesteaded and raised a family with his new wife in Northern Ontario and was always a happy go lucky kind of person who never complained about the whole ordeal.

These Russian Legion fighting for Ukraine are some of the bravest men I've ever seen. They refused to be puppets in Putin's controlled church and country. They put God above Putin, their Ukrainian brothers and sisters above their own well-being, and the courage to do the right thing over the complicity of fear. May they survive this battle and join their Ukrainian brethren to end this war. Then may they liberate their own country from the dictator who subjugates them. God bless them.

Slava Ukraini! I'm retired so I have lots of time to parse through information. As near as I can gather there are 2, possibly 3 now, Battalions of what are called Freedom for Russia Forces, designated by the blue and white flags on their uniforms. They are cleared rigorously by Ukrainian Intelligence, trained by the Ukrainian Fources, and are fully integrated under the command of the Ukrainian Military. They fight along side other foreign volunteers from many countries and are commanded by Ukrainians. About a month ago they had 5,000 applications and this has been growing since Russia's partial mobilization. There have also been many cases of infrastructure, military and civil, like Army recruitment centers, military related factories, energy infrastructure, railway lines, that have been sabotaged in Russia. I suspect these have been carried out by Freedom for Russia forces inside Russia.

Look at the images of the people in the underground while an air raid is happening. There is no panic, they are just getting on with it knowing that they may return to a home that has been destroyed. Huge shades of Britain in the Blitz 80 years ago. But here we are in 2022. Nothing seems to have changed but in terms of man's inhumanity to man.
