Of all the plethora of mods to play in CK3, Elder Kings is one of the most fleshed out, with races, magic and generally a lot of things that the modders have managed to do despite the restrictions the engine has. It is truly an incredible mod, today we're taking a trip to Tamriel and playing as an Orcish dynasty to restore the Orcs to their former glory. Do we succeed or do we fail? There's something magical about a sorcerous queen realizing she's going to die, turning to necromancy, and as the clock is ticking - turning to mass execution for blood rituals to become a lich and sending her armies across Tamriel to capture people for her sacrifices. Art really does imitate life.

I love how Laith basically ended up playing as a Dark Lord! After burning and pillaging her way through the countryside with the explicit purpose of sacrificing as many people as she could, this queen becomes an immortal lich to continue her reign of terror forever. Within the next like 20 years I definitely see a Chosen One coming to smite her ass.

the storytelling elder kings just seems to always generate is remarkable, from a pretty nondescript count start you ended up with an actual fantasy movie evil overlord who mastered conjuration, started worshipping dragons and commited a mass sacrifice so she could become immortal also the generational rivalry with the orcs in falcrenth "this man *terrorised* my mother"

Researching the Iron Oaths faith of these particular orcs, they feel like they broke their connection to the land by plundering it for natural resources to fight off invaders. When I conquered the land of the breton druids in my playthrough, I founded a new syncretic faith where they essentially learned from the Bretons how to rebuild that connection.

Fun Fact: Orcs don’t die naturally willingly. Once they’ve become too old to properly serve as a combatant they look for a warrior worthy of them dying too. The Orcs are really a warrior race.

You could try playing as the last descendants of Reman Cyrodiil to try to restore his legacy. That's always a fun one in my experience and the interregnum start date makes it a little easier.

I’m down for Elder Kings 2 but if you want more base game spice Rice and Viet are great mods. There are tons of mods collections that have a bunch of mods that add just SO much flavor and events and kingdoms and empires. Historical Invasions is also a great mod to spice things up. I’m with you base game base game can get a bit boring but the Expanded Series of mods and the absolute multitude out there can give it a lot more leg room without being total conversions.

Laith if you want to expand ridiculously fast by infinite Conquer Kingdom or Conquer Empire CBs, you need either tribal government, Quarrelsome tradition, or an innovation every era that unlocks each. Ofcourse to unlock these wars for a character you need levels of fame starting at Illustrious for Conquer Duchy.

If you check your military tab..you know, where you can see your men at arms and such, all the way at the bottom of the tab, there's a rally point button. It's a much easier way to manage rally points, to my mind

I would love to see laith attempt a goblin campaign. Honestly they're really difficult, (except for the ones on the island far off to the east), but they can become really strong. Mostly through the mechanic of being able to control your culture very quickly. Meaning goblins have the best position for rapid advancement in tech, oddly enough.

​@@osmaniesquijarosa4308bulgu orazan is basically an orcish religion without dookan, it was originally founded in ozgarom , though the current shattered Crown mt also gets it, hopefully one day it will spread even further and gain more content (which a guy on the discord Is currently working on ) it revolves around songs about the greatest of the orcish ancestors that they seek to emulate, brasur, bramash (who some see as the new God of liberty and defiance), Lothane bluetusk, maxug the mad, the ashentree orcs, etc.

Hey Laith, great video, would like to make a recommendation for your dragon playthrough, if you are playing in Skyrim as a cynical character and worship the Nord Pantheon (and the Dragon totem), you’ll get a decision that allows you to worship dragons. I’ll spare you from further details, but I think it’s a better play than an island faith reformation game.

It is day 112 since I asked you to do the challenge with Croatia in VIC 3 but in one of the videos, a good person named Andraip (Thanks for all the help) said it has a few flaws so it's time to correct them. So when you start playing as Croatia you have 15 years to get your independence, after that you cannot ally, get in a defensive pact, and you cannot be under any kind of protection and you must rival these powers as soon as possible: Austria, Russia, Serbia, Montenegro, Ottomans, and all nations from the Italian boot. You also must embargo all those nations and cannot enter their custom union nor can they enter yours. You cannot be in an alliance with any of the top 10 nations, including a defensive pact custom union, or protectorate, but you can trade with them. AI must be put on the default settings in case it isn't. If you ally let's say Portugal, and later on they get into the top 10, you must break the alliance. You also must stay monarchy all the time. Form the Danubian state with Croatia following these rules. (FYI incase I didn't make it more specific, you cannot join anybody's custom union you must always at all times have your own market).
