also congrats on nailing this extremely precise mod first try!! You made a few mistakes but you bounced back thankfully haha.

Yes, I use AI voice because I’m sure if I used my real voice, it would sound more annoying to listen to 😅. English isn’t my native language. By the way, thank you for your support. ❤

@@goplayfull Of course! Smaller creators need all the support they can get. Keep it up man 🙏🔥

It's a good idea to keep a light hand and draw a the line about 1mm from the resistor. Then draw a square with the line in the middle. It helps to see where you're supposed to grind. I also reccomend getting some green uv mask, so you're absolutely sure it's all covered. Great video!

Thank you for the guidance.

I've read somewhere that using flux where you want to grind helps with keeping shavings from going everywhere potentially shorting the MOBO, also using manual grinders it's is better for beginners, even though it's slower, it gives better control so you don't accidently grind too much or damage components around where you supposed to grind

As you were using the “small” bit I was thinking “dang that bit is so big he accidentally made a hole next to the resistor. He should use a smaller one.” Then you put on the bigger one☠️

In case you're watching this video with the intention of unlocking, here's my story: Don't underestimate the kamikaze process. I have experience with soldering, but I had never done an invasive process like this. I bought the necessary equipment that I didn't have and decided to take a chance. I had this same limited edition of Zelda and ended up killing it... I basically broke the connection between the DAT0 and the SOC (processor) by going too far with the scraping. Fortunately, I was able to sell the parts and get my money back; the buyer of the board was able to repair the damage that I didn't have the ability to do. One thing I learned from this is that not everything is better done by ourselves. It's not a difficult process, but it does require experience and patience. Make sure you have the right equipment, especially a microscope and a good soldering iron. Otherwise, don't even try, it will be frustrating. Looking at the videos with a microscope, you can't get an idea, but the work area and components are extremely small, hardly visible to the naked eye. If you accept a piece of advice: don't try it if you're not confident and have the right equipment, the chances of it going wrong are very high. Trust a professional and accept the price, after all it's worth the price. I don't mean to discourage anyone who wants to take a chance, after all I've done it myself. However, I'll give you a warning: buy the right equipment, watch as many videos as necessary, practice beforehand if you don't have experience and be patient. Excellent video and congratulations on the execution, it really is a job that deserves recognition and credit to whoever does it.

I totally agree, if you don’t have at least basic skills like knowing how to solder, then you should never attempt this. The risk of failure is very high. And yes, we need to have adequate equipment, and the most important tool to have is a microscope. In this video, I forgot to mention the microscope, even though I used a cheap one that cost no more than $50. So, if you don’t have the tools and skills mentioned above, it’s better to take your Switch to a repair shop that has experience installing mod chips. Make sure it’s a trusted repair shop, not just any random one. Thank you for sharing your experience in this comment!

I dont know if it's a good idea or not, but maybe putting bluetac or something around the area to protect it may help if you're nervous

Yes, that's a good idea.

Is Kamikaze only for the oled model ?
@goplayfullАй бұрын
For all models that can no longer be jailbroken using the RCM jig method.
@fabianthoene3 күн бұрын
Yes. Only the OLED need a DAT0 Adapter, Kamikaze or Interposer Board (between EMMC and Mainboard to get CMD,CLK,DAT0 from it). All other consoles have DAT0 pins on the component layer.

It doesn't look like it was done by a novice. You already have experience in your hands.

Do you think The kamikaze method is necessary. Is the cable coming loose that common after modding the first time
@goplayfullАй бұрын
It’s definitely worth it. Previously, my Switch was using the DAT0 adapter. I’ve had to fix it more than 5 times because it often failed to boot into Hekate. This is the reason I dared to try the kamikaze method, and until now my Switch has never failed to boot into Hekate. But if your Switch has never had any issues using the DAT0 adapter, then there’s no need to switch to the kamikaze method.
