Just arrived back too 🇬🇧 after attending Angelina’s live concerts in 🇳🇴 Norway, I was blown away by Angelina’s vocal ability live , there’s many powerful versions of I Have Nothing on KZbin but Angelina’s version is the best I’ve ever heard, no other female artist can hit the low notes like this musical genius, her unique silvery vibrato is amazing, her falsetto beautiful, Angelina is so special and this version has already 130 thousand views and climbing fast , congratulations Angelina you are my favourite vocalist ever, great reaction thanks 🙏

To say that someone is lying, when he expresses his enthusiasm about a singer and when he points out the particular skills that this young, talented artists is blessed with appears to me as rather disrespectful. Angelina makes her own twist to this song as to any other song that she covers, and many of us appreciate her for that. To my opinion she does this song justice by not trying to copy Whitney Houston, but rather putting her own stamp on it. And although her performance clearly doesn't seem to pull your heartstring based on your comment, it pulls not only my heartstring alone, but plenty of others would agree that this is one of the most successful covers out there of this amazing and timeless song.

Simply put, this is the Best cover of this iconic song EVER! (IMO) She takes it down 3 minor steps, and her low register is simply Magnificent! I've listened to this studio version (recorded before she left for Norway I think) about 20 times now, and for me, it is PERFECTION!!! Many reactors have trouble finding the words to describe Angelina's singing. Not unlike the current pictures of outer space from our new super cameras. Beauty only needs one word. I watch just about every reaction for Angelina and try to support her growth in any small way I can. I always look forward to your comments and your facial reactions. As long as Angelina stays true to her core beliefs, I will be a supporter. Keeping her clothes on and not twerking while standing on her head is excellent advice!

Life is about happiness, not fame. AJ's career trajectory is perfect IMO. She was clearly in heaven on her Norwegian tour. Her studio performance here is absolutely stellar. She has to belt near the top of her range, and she handles the key change perfectly. Very little vocal strain or pressure. Her riffs during the coda are from another planet -- and the way she sustains fry and vibrato and breathiness throughout her runs is her signature: easily the best I've every encountered. If one is not centered in self and surrounded by people who love you, then fame is a dangerous thing. Seeing Angelina on stage at these concerts, I've never seen her so Happy. Her connection with the crowd is totally genuine. Angelina wears her heart on her sleeve; what you see is what you get. Her interaction with her fans is "in the moment"; nothing rehearsed or scripted. When I watched in amazement 18 songs from AJ in Norway on the 10th July she was so relaxed, happy and laughing and talking to the crowd. I believe AJ’s grandma is thinking of leaving LA, given her age and the fact that she had a heart surgery a few months back. I think she wants to spend some time in her homeland but AJ can’t see herself without grandma around. I know during her concert in Norway, AJ cried a couple of times. She’s really struggling right now and I feel for her 100%.

If you watch "suspicious minds" and the fact that AJ showcased all the grandchildren, almost as a message to grandma that this are her roots. Also her tearing up at the concert and then coming home and re shooting this video "I have nothing" it all kind of makes sense to me. As you get older and feel closer to the end, some people may want to spend time in their homeland, their birth culture and their own people. Maybe that's what's happening behind the scenes, i hope I'm wrong but if it is, can you imagine how hard it must be for AJ? she has always had grandma next to her, being her closest fan and inspiration. Again, i hope I'm wrong.

That I came to a different conclusion certainly doesn't invalidate what you say. It is just a view of what I see, which I try to explain below. Mery Zamani is shown as the Executive Producer of the video, and I would guess it was she who wanted her grandchildren to be shown in the video. It is a "given"that this was agreed in discussion with Angelina. As we know, "family" means everything to them. Angelina is tearful in many of her performances at Kurbadhagen and on all of those occasions, other than when she sang "Million miles" on 10 July, was, I feel,because so many of her "Angels" had shown up to support her - many travelling long distances to be present - just overwhelmed her. The emotional response happened because Angelina is still the humble person she has always been. Other artist whose sole objective is to show just how good they are would not have responded in such as manner. Her performance of "Million miles" on 10 July was in a category of its own. It was very personal, and that cry of immense grief at the end enforces my feeling that it was so. I understand that the video of "I have nothing" released on 25 July 2022 was recorded prior to Angelina's visit to Norway. Your choice of the words "homeland" "birth culture" and "their own people" strike a chord with me in that it is my instinctive feeling to agree. However, on reflection, I feel it is too restrictive in many cases. For example, I was born in England in 1931. At that time the British Empire "ruled the world" and we were taught of how well with treated other people who were not white and did not share "our" values or religion". I carried on believing that until adulthood, when I read more extensively books written by other than English authors. While I am still an Englishman at heart, I no longer consider it my homeland and have completely abandoned the culture in which I was raised. So, getting back to the point of your remarks. As a relatively young lady, Mery left Iran, at a time of political and religious atrocities in that country, with two small children, Sara and Michael,and travelled to Japan to live. Eventually, she emigrated to Norway and lived there until the family moved to Los Angeles about 2018. So, I must ask myself whether she still retains any affection for her birth country or own people. I doubt it, but one should never project one's own emotions upon another. To my mind, the family are too integrated to even consider being apart. I cannot envisage a situation which would lead to Mery and Angelina being apart, other than for short periods while she is performing. Angelina said that Mery was sick, but she gave no explanation of how sick she was. As there has been no further information, we must hope that it was not life-threatening. My apologies for the long, rambling reply. I could have just said, "No, Angelina will be beside Mery to the end.

My father, after a stroke while in New York, felt very strongly about going back to his homeland (Dominican Republic) and after a brief debate with my older brother, the decision was made to let him go. A couple of months later, he passed away. Part of me understand that it'd be almost impossible for Mery to leave AJ's side, especially now, when she's getting ready to be formally introduced to the planet. 😊 Like i have said in the past, if we have grown to love this child as much as we do, can you imagine the love her mom and grandma have for her... Deborah, I absolutely loved your reaction to Angelina's video. I actually cried right along with you. You completely nailed it when you said why her videos don't get the numbers some other people get. Angelina is elegant. She doesn't have to sing nude in a bathtub or dance around like a lunatic. All Angelina needs to do is to stand there with a mic and sing. Hopefully that will be enough to get her where she deserves to be. Regards as always!

Beautiful reaction Debrah and I totally agree with eveything you said👌 To answer your question: I travelled to Norway and was in Kurbadhagen the ,10th of July. My eyes were tearing even before she opened her mouth. Seeing her coming up for the soundcheck, was enough for me to cry. Then she started " at last" from Etta. She sung the whole song with her hands in her jeans, very laid back, but what came out of her was Incredible beautiful. Lots of more tears came out and I know I was not the only one.
