That little girls killed it. Her performance sounded as close to real as I can imagine (thankfully I have never heard a child burned alive). Apparently her mom would drive her out into the middle of a field, far away from anyone so she could practice without strangers overhearing and thinking she was actually being murdered lol.

The show set up that Drogon could sense when Dany was in danger. Earlier in Season 5, after she had that boy executed and had to flee the attack by the citizens and Drogon showed up very briefly, that IMO was him sensing she was in danger and coming to check on her. He left abruptly because he could see she was no longer in danger. very subtle and nice bit of writing

"If a man knows what he is and remains true to himself, the choice is no choice at all." Stannis appears to find comfort in the apparent absence of choice, as if he welcomed not having to make decisions. It explains his willingness to accept guidance that claims to be from something above himself. By extension, it explains all forms of rigid conformity to a set of presented rules. Ned Stark was an example of escaping this at the last moment: forsaking his honour for the sake of his daughters. Jon Snow goes further by questioning the rules and reinterpreting them, telling the wildlings they belong to the realms of men.

Trying to make sense of this is like solving a puzzle with a 1000 pieces, and the last piece misses right at some important detail. And it makes me angry because I wanna understand it but I can't. I think it's just not good enough to solve, it isn't complete. But trying to solve it partly taught me how to reason and hopefully the next puzzle makes more sense. I don't see a version of this where I can justify many of these actions. Maybe I should remember some of it started as innocent mistakes and they were just too primitive to solve it so it got worse from there instead of better. So I can forgive some of it, but it's clear they have a lot of work to do to make it fair again.

Please don't hate on Stannis, this is all the directors fault. A lot of the readers actually love him to bits, myself included. Stannis would never burn his own daughter in the books and we as the readers are 100% sure that is the case, he fights and fights and will keep fighting and then some. He even told one of his Knights that should he die to the Boltons, that the remnants of his army (Back at Dragonstone and the Stormlands) Should keep on fighting to have his daughter win the Iron Throne. He loves her absolutely, he is just a class A example of an introvert and isn't good with many people XD But he is a great father to his daughter. He is Stannis the goddamn Mannis. Tough as Iron.

Talk about someone having your back! Way to go Ser Jorah! Don’t think Daenerys was calling for Drogon; she had the same look Obi-Wan had before Vader struck him down. She probably thought this was the end. Remember when Ser Jorah told Tyrion about the time the dragons were born? “I was a cynic like you...watched a girl step into a great fire...alive and unhurt...holding her baby dragons...it’s hard to be a cynic after that.” That last part was what Tyrion was going through as he watched Drogon take off with mommy. Like he never saw anyone like her before and she might be the first person for him to believe in.

Shireen was a mistake. You have to understand their perspective, they have seen miracles happen. You witness the red woman give birth to a ghost which in turn killed his enemy. These all worked because they used to blood of a king. The reason Shireen did not work....is because she is not the daughter of a king. Stannis thought he was destined to be a king which meant he had kings blood. The red woman has messed up the interpretation.
