Hi professional fish expert here. This list needs help, evenly matched is much better than shifter since its bad for all your fish to get banished. You should run the supay package and more copies of the tuners. Piri reis map is not worth paying half your life points esp since tuna is the most fragile opener. You should run silent angler at least at one to search with the abyss sharks. I hope you try fish again :)

Ghoti is the deck that got me back into yugioh, its so much fun to play. The most fun, skill intensive game ive ever played was a ghoti mirror match. All our removal was super double sided, because banishing your opponent's cards gave them value. Also it was nice not needing to pause to let your opponent read the cards

People tend to wait for effect activations to droplets, and he banished himself for cost, so in a best case scenario you end with paces banished and a leaf negated by droplets on-board. Opponent would have to waste his second droplets on his own turn to stop synchro shenanigans. Even if he had the foresight to know he HAD to chain droplets to Paces’ normal summon, well… you can still banish it to no effect, and bring it back next turn in defense position, so it’s not any worse than summoning Leaf.

Ngl...MBT's build isn't too bad. Big fan of the low-count of Ghoti Tuners, although I'd personally play 1 more Shif. Eschewing the Supay package is definitely for the best; the deck can't really afford to be discarding cards. Similar thing for Deepest Depths too. Beautunaful is a good card, but I personally prefer Mermaid Shark instead; she serves a similar role (1-card starter), but she searches all your Level 4 Fish, as well as Abyss Shark, and doesn't sting as much when she is Ashed.

You should try playing supay. It makes arionpost turn 1 without you ns, so if you also have any of the tuners (probably 3 and 2 ofs) you can make crystal wing along with the full setup
