The rom hack used in the video is a bit outdated with the 1.5 update for the 5 DX rom hack releasing not too long before this video. But the points to World V still holds up well.

Even though i have no evidence to prove it, i've always believed the only actual alien robot in megaman v was sunstar. everyone else was an elaborate wily bot.

Nope, gotta have Wily in there somewhere, as he's the second-most recognizable face of the franchise. It is a nice change how like in MMX8 he's not the true final enemy.

@@graveslayer9666 The problem with that is however that latter lore cards will claim that Wily designed his own gravity Robots based on data he extracted from Saturn. There would also be the case of Shadowman often being presumed as just an alien machine Willy simply reactivated and put his own number one (I mean all of MM11 Robots got Wily numbers despite all being stolen so Wily putting his number on machines he didn't make seems to be in character)

Fun fact: this is not the last time Quint is relevant. The JP exclusive sequel to Megaman & Bass called Challenger From The Future had you fight the prototype who hid himself as he upgraded himself. The end result... is arguably a bigger letdown than Quint. Despite being the final boss and hyped up as someone who caused so much destruction he ruined the peaceful future Wily saw, he has three attacks and he only uses one per phase.

Fun fact! I'd named my pet cat as a kid after Tango. He was my good boy. I still can't believe how cat-like Pluto is in-game, as well. Man, they came up with a lot of cool ideas for World V. Heck, using Wily's own attacks against him at the end was neat. Lawl, Kararock. Seems they also foreshadowed the Mega Man x Sonic Archie comics long before Archie Mega Man was a thing. :p

Missed opportunity gameplay wise: They could have made it so all the Stardroids were immune to the Buster but still harmed by the fist. Instead the upgrade that gives you rocket fists apparently also upgrades the buster so it can hurt them.
