I'm late but I need to write this, please please don't let your cats out, no matter the neighborhood. I follow a few rescue groups on Facebook and the pictures of cats that are being let out of homes and had some tragic accidents are a lot to handle. Your kitties seem to be amazing and they love you a lot and they really don't need to go out to have a good life, quite the opposite. There are too many things that could happen, poisoning, car accidents, people harming them, them getting lost.. It's not worth it honestly.

I clicked instantly when I saw Merphs face, and then was like ' if he doesn't pick up Locke imma cry'! Thankfully you did and I'm so happy you enjoyed it ! Along with Jurassic Park, it's one of my favourite recommendations of Merphs ^^ As a non native English speaker it was a real hurdle to read, especially the first third, but once the story gets going you can't put it down

Oh I felt that. I was listening to the Sleeping Giants Audio (knowing nothing) in bed to fall asleep. I was halfway gone when the scream happened. I literally needed like 20 minutes just to stop shaking. Still love the series though!

We moved into our home 12 years ago, and when we started renting, I was like this is just temporary until we can find a place we love. Then we bought the house 10 years ago and I was still like, ok this is temporary. Yeah, we're still here. So I get that thought of, why go through so much to decorate and really make it feel like home, but now I'm like whatever, this is my home right now, so I want to make it peaceful and welcoming and cozy. With 4 children and multiple animals, it's not very clean or peaceful haha, but it is well lived in for sure.

I genuinely think Red Rising is the best once you hit Iron Gold and Dark Age (exceptions for me being the final scene of Morning Star and Mustang’s “moment” near the end of Golden Son). The way Pierce Brown expands the scope by adding points of view and how he manages the extra plot lines is just SO GOOD. Mostly though I love how you get to see post resolution politics, which you basically never get in dystopias. And also getting a window into Mustang’s brain is absolutely primo, iconic, no notes. Haven’t read Light Bringer yet and I will be very very upset if anything worse than what has already happened to her happens.

I am so happy you liked Red Rising!!! ❤❤❤ I love the themes of Roman and Greek! I describe the series as Rome in space! It is so much more than that, though! After those first 70 pages or so it feels like non stop action, and manipulatetive machinations just to survive. I love it!

Oh lovely, it’s heartbreaking hearing how you do not feel safe to out down roots in the house you are living in. I completely understand that feeling and uncertainty is just crap. The only thing that I can say about furniture is that you take it with you. So investing in things to make this house feel like a home will also work to make the next house feel like a home too. Investing in pieces for your peace of mind is so so important and they will help ground you whenever you move by making the next place feel like a home for you faster. Only good things can come of this decision to prioritise yourself 🤍

I also prefer to go into books blind and if you're referring to you know who getting cut from the story, it does happen in chapter 6 so it's not really a spoiler. I will say though, the ending to the Golden Son messed me up so highly recommend continuing with Red Rising!

Red Rising is a great series! And it's long enough that you really get your heart kicked in a few times as you get to know and love the characters. I don't think *that* plot point is a spoiler for book 1 - it happens early enough on and is the catalyst for the events that happen for the rest of the series. Plus, Becca says the "spoiler" every time she mentions Red Rising, so I think you're safe 😅

We seem to be going through a similar thing with our homes! We’ve been talking about moving for a year and it’s just not possible atm so we finally bought some big furniture pieces and rearranged things and it’s made me feel so so so much better! Probs just me but if my neighbours were making racket past 11pm multiple times a week, I'd be calling the landlord (if possible) and the police (by law you can report them between 11pm and 7am for Disruption) every time. Also I'd be getting up at like 7am to wake them up in revenge. I don't do "noisy neighbours". Fuck 'em.
