This is adorable ❤ I hired an animal communicator for my little boi, Frankie. I had rescued him from the alley when he was just a few weeks old. I LOVE that cat and he's 19 yo now❤ We bonded right away. I hadnt even realized how in love I was with him until people started telling me that they'd take him. I already had 2 cats and didnt need a third, right? It took me a minute to realize I was feeling really annoyed at all the lovely people offering to take him off my hands. When he was about 4, he started having some serious behavioral issues with pooping and peeing everywhere. I was going through a really intense time at school. We went to 5 different vets and got no definitive diagnosis or info. We ended up with contraindicated medications. People were telling me "that cat would be euthanized if he were mine" and "jeez, just get rid of him!" But I loved him more than anyone and he was a perfectly good cat aside from his potty issues. Keeping him was the only option. It got so bad and I was beside myself. I finally called the animal communicator. She's the one that helped us. She was like a therapist for both of us. The first thing she said was, "you two will work it out together." I had felt like I was 100% responsible for everything and all the horrible negative people saying he wasn't worth keeping. When the communicator said "together" I felt instantly relieved. I remembered we were a team. She also said, "He'll have slip ups, but there will be progress. You'll come through together." She had some dietary and supplement recommendations and I eventually fed him mostly raw food and we got through it. It pays to stick by your friends.

Your channel is such a positive place. You've talked before about how you don't understand all the negative comments about cats. Hoping you'll use your popularity (and Layla's cuteness) to dis spell damaging myths and give more information about cats. So many cats are abused and neglected in this world because of superstition and misinformation. Many owners are also ignorant about a cat's needs for the right nutrition, affection and playtime. You could make a change! Also, although cats probably sense things we can't (ghosts?), they also have better hearing than humans and even dogs. It is most likely that your cat hears the refrigerator door opening, or some other sound that has attracted her attention so don't be freaked out.

Hoping to see more special videos featuring you and sweet Layla!

More I formation is needed about Chronic Kidney Disease... is it because they don't get wnough water? What can a cat guardian do? 😢❤🐈⬛
@VGNaluri4 ай бұрын
@@helendunn9905 Yes, that's one of the reasons if I'm not mistaken. It's important to make sure your cat drinks water, they usually seek out water when they're thirsty but if the water is stale, they won't drink it. That's why it's good to refresh their water bowl at least once a day or if you have the funds, get a cat water fountain which can provide them with fresh running water. Another thing is to mix up their food, don't always just feed them dry kibble but mix up some dry food with wet food or alternate between them. Cats can get some water from the wet food they eat. There are also dry cat food which are specifically formulated to help maintain a cat's kidney health. That's as much information I know, though there's probably more information about it online or you can always ask your vet. Hope it helps. 😺

We grew up together and were so close that losing her felt like losing a part of myself. My present cat, Aegwynn, was definitely meant to be mine, though. She was literally found by the bins moments after Tinsel had passed away and the moment I saw how scared and vulnerable she was in the adoption area. I knew I had to have her. Aegwynn loves watching me. She'll follow me around and just sit and watch while I do stuff around the house and she always accompanies me to the bathroom. They way Phoebe described you and Layla's relationship reminds me a bit of the connection between the Starks and Jon with they're direwolves in Song of Ice and Fire Books. The Starks and Jon had a super strong symbiotic connection to their wolves. They both felt what each other fault,. When the Starks were angry the Wolves were angry, when they were sad the wolves were sad when they were around people who they viewed as enemies the wolves would try and attack them like Tyrion. When Jon reunited with Ghost in the books he could feel Ghosts hunger like could physically feel it to the point where he wanted to sink his teeth into prey. Think it's the sweetest and most powerful connection you could ever have with your pet and I hope everyone who owns pets can feel something similar to that and if you don't somethings wrong.

4:38 I feel there are some cats that are happiest as single cats. I do feel many cats seem to like a buddy. But i have definitely seen a few that did not imo. I think an important factor to consider is if their caretakers need to go away to work all day, and how much attention they are able to give their cat. Like if they are home most of each day, and spend plenty of time playing and interacting, i could see some cats being happiest that way. I feel, like people, cats can be different. What may be true for most might not be true for all and so forth. I feel Layla seems like a super happy cat to me, so whatever you are doing and however things are, seems perfect to me. Great job! Oh also i think how territorial and/or how secure they feel could be important too. Cats can be super territorial i think. And size of the space is important too imo. Like larger spaces give more room for them to feel comfortable, and maybe having multiple litter box spots could be helpful too, for multiple cat houses. Just some things i think of

Hearing you worry about diseases... I want you to know about a product called the AquaPurr. It's on amazon. It's a little pricey (though given how much you spend on Layla... Not that bad) The most common cause of death for indoor cats is kidney disease.. pretty much all cats get it. They have no natural thirst drive. The AquaPurr is on demand water from the sink that comes from a little tube at standing height for the cat. My cats drink ALL THE TIME since I started with it (I've had a couple versions over many many years) and I absolutely feel like I am keeping them way healthier. Everyone remarks on how nice their coats are and my 14 year old cat still zooms around the house like a young cat. Cats don't have a natural thirst drive so having a source they really enjoy is super important.

I wonder if she would use those "talking buttons"? Then she can ask for food, scritches, or ask "what was that sound?"

One of my cats I felt she was my mom who passed when I was younger and she was here just for a couple months. She instantly attached to me, letting me know when it was time for bed, every night on my chest/ she was also sick but it just felt like something else. It was hard to lose her.

It's a bummer to be this person, but I'm skeptical of this lady. Sure, Layla liked her, but she had a lot of info about you right from the start: 1) the fact you called her in the first place. Neglectful pet owners don't call animal communicators. 2) there are lots of photos of Layla around, and lots of cat furniture. Having those around means that the owner is attentive to the cat and their needs. 3) you have a public facing channel, so she can learn a lot from the videos before even meeting with you 4) you're volunteering information during the interview about your relationship with Layla With all of these things combined, it's easy for her to figure out what you want to hear based on what she already knows to be true. Some of the claims she made are impossible to prove otherwise; the idea that Layla would prefer a male cat companion, the idea that Layla knew you would adopt her, these things can't be confirmed by any other source, and so she can't be proven wrong or right. In many ways, psychics act in much a similar way.

It’s like being a fortune teller, they’re people who are highly sensitive and observant. Probably nothing actually magical, but a talent nonetheless

@skytiger859: I agree with you; it is not a good test if the test subject (the animal communicator in this case) has access to sooo many information beforehand. That being said, I am very curious about spiritual things, despite being more atheistic/agnostic in nature. If you have to spend money on a psychic, make sure the info you get can not be obtained or even deduced in any other way. As she said, she usually does this via phone, and based on an interview of another such communicator if she asks any more things then the name and/or a photo of the animal, I suggest to give false or no information. (The name and/or photo I would give; if her "skills" are true, she will need a starting point; so this is something i would be willing to give.) Food for thought: Hmm, doing this over the phone is actually kind of weird. You can not be read easily this way... well, what do I know. ^^

Two things: 1) There is a spiritual/worldview component to this that is fundamentally outside the scope of the scientific method, and so much of the information given in these types of sessions are just matters of faith and not empirically verifiable. 2) Yes, animal communicators can be prone to bias due to prior info, unsolicited information, etc. which is why it’s important for an ethical (as in doesn’t try to claim that there’s scientific backing for any of this, or claim higher accuracy than say 80%) animal communicator to never give medical advice due to the greater possibility of error. Lost pets is also an iffy one.

Our little cat LOVES his routine, he gets all out of sorts if his routine is interrupted. He also loves his belly rubbed, he'll be on his back, belly up in the air, because he wants us to rub his belly.

Layla the cat literally has anything she'd ever want in life The closest thing to heaven there ever was Kitty ❤️ I have no idea what she was talking about cat gender "masculine energy" though Cats don't really have gender, at least nothing like the way humans perceive it Cat society is much different than human society

In December of this year, my senior cat started behaving in a weird way. This cat was a total couch potato. Always calm, never anxious. One day he started yeowling at the front door and furiously scratching the floor in front of the door. He went on like this for 3 days. Couldn't figure it out until I learned that my narcisstic brother had passed away the day this behavior started. I know my cat saw my brother's spirit and I believe he was trying to protect me. I'll never forget his ferocity. My kitty passed a couple of months later at the age of 16. RIP Antonio, you were a very good kitty.

I don't doubt what Phoebe is saying in general: seems pretty accurate. But I do think she may tend to flavor it a little with what what a pet parent wants to hear, i.e. praising the cat's intelligence and extolling your care of her, etc. That said, Layla visiting with her on the couch and giving crazy unusual eye contact is wild!

I’m an animal communicator as well. I don’t do it professionally because I’m too busy doing what I love on stage. But I have 4 furry babies at home and I do readings for I also help my close friends understand their pets better. My friends at the dog park always joke that it’s a ritual for dogs to come over and hop on my lap when they arrive. My two kitties are litter mates and best friends. Noodles is my dream maker and absolutely has the princess personality Toby is like my early warning device and really the attention seeker. One time he was pawing at the fireplace door and eventually opened it and a bat flew in 😅 I have two dogs as well, my husky Katara has been my guide in a previous lifetime and is so calm for her breed. She still talks like other huskies 😅but shes not as high energy. She’s more like the mom of the house she keeps everyone including me safe and really helps me in my relationships with family and friends. Last but certainly not least is oden, my basinji Corgi mix. He’s definitely the baby of the house he knows it. If anyone here has seen the movie homeward bound he is very much like the character Chance. The portrait of a lovable trouble maker. Sometimes I wish I’d have named him Bart after Bart Simpson 😅he’s so funny and adorable but he has separation anxiety and will chew up anything when I’m away from him. But I let some of that go because I know that is because of where he came from and not his fault so I try not to leave anything out that is expensive or valuable. Watching him and his big sister at the dog park is absolutely hilarious. Oden loves to steal other dogs balls so they’ll chase him and Katara will chase him down and knock the ball out of his mouth and kind of heard him away until the dog he stole it from gets it back ❤
