Same thing happened to me with my 04 Cummins dually, hauling a loaded trailer down a pass east of Butte, MT as the sun was setting...doing about 75 when a big buck jumped out of the ditch. Broke the mounting on the headlight, which I taped up and continued on my way to SD. I could only turn right or the tire would hit the bumper. Drove it another 800 miles that way, winched the bumper out at my brother's farm and drove 1200 miles back to WA to get it fixed. $5k in damage....it adds up fast!

Literally the reason why I'm currently waiting on delivery for a steel bullbar for my new truck. No matter how many lights you have on the front of your truck, drive enough on country roads at night and something you can't avoid will eventually jump out in front of you and do a whole lot more damage than you would've had with the bullbar. Especially since some manufacturers thought it's fun to start only selling their headlights as all in one units that costs over $1000 each to replace if you don't want some shitty looking chinesium knockoff (that would likely void your warranty).
