I used to ear them on guard duty in Vietnam. One night in a guatd tower, I opened a can in the dark, prceeded to eat a mitt full of entrails! That waas all there was in the can. Haven’t had them since! If I got re-started on them, I’d probably love them again. My dad used to eat peannut butter and sardine sandwiches😝.

Hey Tim quiet a haul you pulled in. When you work abroad it's always nice to have something from home, now in the UK we eat a lot of Danish bacon. While working in Denmark they only have streaky bacon and export the good stuff. So on leave I got a butcher friend to vacuum pack servings of a whole side of Danish bacon and I hauled it back. Landing in Copenhagen I was pulled by customs and I told em I was carrying bacon. They told me about Danish bacon and I showed them the real stuff they export, they shook their heads and waved me through. I did give then a couple of packs to eat, sorry I mean test. Do enjoy tucking into The Motherload.

I eat the chicken of the sea sardines. I have eaten King Oscar's many times. I like COFS because they are cheap, and quality is good. I get them for one dollar a tin. I have read up on sardines. They have very little mercury risk. They are loaded with vitamins and essential minerals. The Omega oils are super good for your blood vessels and heart. These oils protect the heart and vessels. People who have high levels of fish oils have less strokes and cardiovascular events. Plus, they are good for your eyes, hair, skin, teeth. Many professionals call sardines superfoods. Plus, they stabilize sugar levels. So, if you are prediabetic or have diabetes, sardines are a great way to get protein. All for a dollar a tin. About every 2-3 months, my grocery store has a 10 for $10 special on these.

I've just been out for a Spanish tapas lunch at Cafe Andaluz in Newcastle. We go quite often and they actually do have Spanish chefs. For sardines we get tins with them in a tomato sauce.......yummy on toast. 😋 CUOTO
