To be able to learn another language and then be able master stand up comedy; Tobias, one doffs one cap to ya 👊

I wouldn't want to take anything away from Tobias, but in Sweden, English seems to be more of a joint first language. Last time I was there I went into a brilliant little country pub, and being a Brit, the first thing I said to the landlord was "Do you speak English?". As expected, he replied "Yes", so I started giving him my drinks order. There was a couple of old guys next to me at the bar, and half way through the order they switched from chatting in Swedish, to English. Suddenly hearing that grabbed my attention, so I asked one of them, "Weren't you talking in Swedish a minute ago?", and he said "Yeah, but we know what it's like to be someplace where you don't understand the language, so we thought it was only polite to switch to English". Within 5 minutes the whole bar was chatting in English....... And I felt quite ashamed that I hadn't even thought to learn how to say "Thank you" in Swedish before getting on a plane to go over there. They really have an amazing warmth towards other people there........ Just don't get roped into any drinking games against them. You WILL lose ! :D

Brilliant to see Tobias Persson on your stage again........ I just wish his set had been longer. I know I should just be grateful that he DOES do the occasional English language set (From what I've heard, most of his gigs are performed in Swedish for the home crowd), but that doesn't stop me wanting to hear more of his quirky humour.

Sounded good on paper was hilarious. I enjoy hearing Tobias. He always sounds like he's enjoying himself and often has a wonderful and unusual way of looking at things.

I don't think most comedians would dare make trans jokes or even pronoun jokes unless they are above it all like Chappelle.

After a while, I get Ricky Gervais, Dylan Moran and a hint of Bill Hicks in his style. Not a bad thing. There are worse potential sources of inspiration and nobody gets good at something magically...it all has a source. Gotta step up the game though for comedy. The whole gender thing is done. As far as I'm concerned, Chappelle buried it for good. People aware of the BS long for grittier stuff. Making fun of Putin is not gritty. That's what every western mainsteam media has been spewing for years. Anyway, stand-up comedy is fascinating and I give kudos to anyone trying it. Some are naturals at it but for most, it takes tremendous work and balls.
