I have a question: most of the time I defend with my feet on top of the white line because I'm afraid that the other team does a quick smash and I don't have time to reach the bounce from the wall. Also, when I notice that one of my opponents defends in between the line and the glass, I sometimes fake a bandeja and do a quick smash instead, and he doesn't reach it. Defending in between the line and glass, as in the video, is the best to defends bandejas and viboras, but not the best to defend flat smashes or x3. Even professional players tend to defend with their feet in white line or even a bit in front of the white line. What are your thoughts?

My coach once told me that, when you send the lob and think it is not too deep (opponent can do bandeja/vibora/flat smash), then prepare a step in front of line, just in case they hit hard, if you see they are not hitting hard then you will have time to recover that extra step backwards. I hope I explained that correctly

My thought is that you are not a professional player, so you cannot defend like them. You are much slower, your reactions are much slower, your technique is much worse, so you cannot defend like they do. That is the reason why we are watching videos like this while they are playing pro tournaments😉. Dont freak out, you are not so good. No te flipes, no eres tan bueno 😂

@@JC-yo9le The problem is that I find that sometimes I don't have the time for the extra step backwards ... If the bandeja is tense and goes to the feet, and we are in front of the line, then it's trouble.
