My respect to Mr Saddiq. As a Singaporean, I don't see young Singaporean politicians with Mr Saddiq's charisma, courage and drive for transparency and high standards. Having said that, politics is always a dark and dirty game. His biggest failure (if we can use this term) is that he lacks powerful allies to back him up. When you go against wily old foxes with decades of experience in this game, doing the right thing at the wrong time to the wrong people doesn't make you right. Wishing Mr Saddiq all the best in his political career. If Malaysia has more politicians such as him without resorting to cronyism and/ or wielding the racial cards, Malaysia will 1 day be on par, if not better, than Singapore.

Actually, many people's eyes are clear. You can see the double standard in Syed Saddiq's criticism pattern in recent years. He or MUDA seldom or have no power to criticize any racist remarks from PN or stay quiet on the fraud cases possibly involving Daim and Mahathir. They always start with "with due respect", etc whenever tweet about Mahathir. When criticizing PH, PMX, and DAP, they scold loudly, while others haven't done anything to them. Furthermore, DAP is their former ally who has given them many opportunities. You can see from the six states' election that PH has lost many seats because of MUDA's interference there, allowing the No. 1 traitor, Azmin Ali, to win the state seat by a narrow margin. Now, they openly praise Muhyiddin, whom they previously accused of being behind the scenes charging him, which also shows that Muhyiddin is manipulating the system. Quite disappointed in MUDA, and hoping for a better third force to emerge.

Using general thinking to assess criminal charges is dangerous. An offence is made out as long as the withdrawal is unauthorized. Whether or not the offender benefited from it only goes towards the sentence. The same goes for the amount involved. For the purposes of conviction, the judge just needs to assess whether the prosecution has proved the case beyond reasonable doubt. Whether or not the amount of money involved is too small a sum vis a vis the offender's position and wealth is irrelevant.

Syed Saddiq is the youngest political leader who has earned my respect and comparing with our past Malay leaders, including past PMs, he surpasses all of them in terms of integrity, intelligence and eloquence. Syed Saddiq is my number one PM in waiting and Malaysia will progress under his leadership. Syed Saddiq still lack political experience especially in dealing with those sly old foxes and I hope he will learn in time to be the best Prime Minister of Malaysia. I believe in his honesty & integrity and I'm so sad that even under the administration of Anwar, Syed Saddiq could be victimised whilst the biggest 2 thieves in our country were either not investigated or jail time reduced on top of reduced fines. He talks an idealistic speech, as if the current gov can be super principled and ignore the sentiment and face what ever political implications that may come. That's in the movie. We live a real life. Most practical Malaysians rather tolerate an imperfect unity government than the ultra conservative and backward alternative opposition. Until we can get rid of such opposition in our polical scene, compromise would have to be made. That's the reality. Muda is just too small to form a gov so they are irrelevant in our politics. The best they can do is deny PH the small majority needed to win over PN. I remember a few certain famous people championed a low to no blame culture in their companies or the government, carrot and stick is important but the size of the stick should take into consideration the context of the decision. Petrol subsidy is debateable since greener choice like evs exist, i am sure malaysia experienced first hand effects of global warming.
