I have a question about how you care for your knives. Seeing you finely chop those parsley stems made me think about my knives. Do you run your knives over a steel before you use them? Do you have your knives professionally honed and sharpened? If so, how often? Thanks!

I don't sharpen my knives anywhere near as often as I should but I do have a honing rod for the job. I've been meaning to do them again but keep putting it off cos I'm a flake lol. After your comment I'm gonna get on it ASAP

@@TheTeessideChef I was having to sharpen my wifes knives far too often. Get yourself one of these Tumbler knife sharpeners. Best thing for knives, since pre-sliced bread.

@@nigebkk Nice find! Have you tried the Hone? Some others have suggested it outclasses the Tumbler for a few reasons. Not sure I'm ready to drop over £100 on a sharpener though 😄

Bob Dylan also did a number on Scarborough Fair with his song Girl from the North Country, it has the line 'Remember me to one who lives there, she once was a true love of mine' repeated throughout. TBH I prefer Roy Harpers' version of it from Valentine, as you rightly said standing on the shoulders of giants and all that mate. Glad to see you back in 2024, looks like it's going to be another shitty one 😉
