As a person that lives in that town, that lives 0.3 miles from the derailment, a person that lives in the red zone on east taggart, I think you spreading awareness about our situation is a lot better than people trying to push you away and trying to hide it up, acting like nothing happened when in fact, a lot of people lives have been ruined by this

But I believe we need to understand where this other random town guy comes from. He has just seen lots of people spreading false information and creating panick for their own benefit, so it can be quite hard for him to see another journalist, for all he knows, Tyler could just again try and put fear into people. Living in that town and getting all of these conspiracy theories can be quite scary, so I can understand why he was so frustrated. In terms of government, freight trains cover most of the railways in the continental U.S trains make a shit ton of money for the government so they are most likely trying to defend the train company so it doesn’t cause an uproar against freight trains

There was no cover up. The public knew very quickly what was spilled. The derailment was a complete accident. It was caused by an overheated bearing that failed. It wasn’t because they were running too hard or that they were pushed to go faster. The roads are closed because it isn’t safe for the public or anyone not trained in the cleanup to be close to. Instead of trying to sensationalize and spread fear about this, why don’t you actually try and help the people. Or maybe go to Flint Michigan and figure out why the corruption and greed caused the water issues.

norfolk southern (company that operates the tracks and the train that derailed) offered the town east palestine 25000 dollars but the town has 5 thousand people which means every towns person has 5 dollars in compensation. there was another derailment about a week after this one which happened with a norfolk southern train on norfolk southern tracks in detroit suburbs, they havent been speaking on that. def a coverup going on.

They are just doing their Jobs and likely don't have much more information about the situation. I would definitely feel anxious and confused if some random guy with a hazmat suit asked me for personal information while recording the conversation. Maybe they would have been more open if they weren't recording. They would be risking they're employment if they openly said something they were told not to and the video of them doing it was available on KZbin for anyone to see. Also water stations have been a thing in certain areas of Ohio.

I live about 20 miles North from this, I can't say I noticed anything like smell or headaches or anything like that, I do remember some of my neighbors and other people in the area complaining about the air quality, or they their head hurts suddenly, Idk, I do remember the day it happened they told us to stay inside and don't open windows, but I didn't a bid by that, I had to go to work as many others did. Still hear about it all the time, though I do think a lot of it is in people's heads epically when they live upwind from it.

Thats not good brother. Dont want to invoke fear but some shit like that happened in Louisiana in the 80s (watched a 2 hour doc with people who lived on the lake). All in all a natural gas drilling company drilled to deep and struck a salt dome, for 2 weeks natural gas was leaking into the water and even bubbling up into the air. People reported a foul smell in the air and eye iritation. The lake ended up collapsing due to the salt dome below in caving in. its now like a thousand foot lake or something like that. Many people who lived by that lake died due to related health issues and cancer. The stuff that leaked from that train is a thousand times worst than natural gas and studies show it can be linked to cancer. Hope yall stay safe. Im mad they wont send yall federal aid but theyre to busy sending all our tax money to Ukraine instead of to yall. During Katrina only the rich made it out okay because the federal aid wasnt enough and the state officials took a high % of it, my grandma only received 2k. She lost her house... But for yall honestly 2k would be enough to get the hell out for a week or 2 in a hotel or apartment somewhere further.

I looked up the SSD of the chemicals on the train. It naturally combust when it mixes with the air and none of chemicals or the byproducts are a danger to aquatic life. But it can be extremely toxic to humans.

6:10 to be able to see the oil on the water (will always be on the surface); you have to know what you are looking for to be able to see it. A camera will simply not be able to pick up any of that. The reason throwing rocks, or any hard material for that matter; is because it will break up the oil on the surface. This will cause a ripple effect whcih is how you see the oil. You need a keen eye. I can tell just by the discolouration of the water that there is oil and other substances in the liquid.

Bro I REALLY appreciate you doing this. I live and work around this area. My family lives right down the tracks. It's HORRIBLE what they have done to this area. Shell Gas is one of the major players causing this harm with the plastic factory they built.

oh no if shell involved here there is almost certainly shady stuff going on. I would look at what they have done in Africa if you want a good idea about how much they care about human lives. if they are involved then the people in your town are being faced with a corporate entity that would kill someone for an extra dollar with a history of manipulating government officials.

This is terrifying. I feel so awful for the people who live there. This could literally happen anywhere. I hope and pray they get this cleaned up and no one has lasting effects from this....but I doubt it'll be that simple. So so very sad and scary.
