And I think she will... • She's my mother and the best in the whole world!

You are not to do any kind of work is a vegan and vegetarian diet but you can eat meat you just can’t eat pork or scavengers of the sea. I myself am not a Seventh-day Adventist. I am just a Christian, but Sunday is the first day of the week and Saturday is the seventh day and that’s when the Lord took rest if you don’t know about it right up in your king James version Bible. You’re also not supposed to listen to anything but Christian music during those 24 hours and you are not supposed to watch television, in the Bible, it says to remember the sabbath day, and to keep it holy. Hey, great video! Honest perspective, especially on the vegetarian food! I gotta try that breakfast burrito at the cafe you went to in the beginning. My daughter works in that same building, in the media dept making movies for the church. That was cool to see my MOM, Loida!!! She was the one playing pickleball. And the trails....that's where I've been mountain biking and coaching homeschool kids to ride mtn bikes for almost 30 years. Lots of cool trails of all levels. Glad you got to hike it! I remember when the McD's was coming in, and all the commotion. You actually got one of my colleagues talking about the danger of McDs towards our kids! LOL! Glad you got the Vegan District...that's one of the more recent restaurants here in town and a good one--I like going there. In that area, there are a ton of eating places. You must've visited that Romanian church during the middle of the week--it's not always open. In fact, it's literally like a few blocks from my house where I live. Was curious during your walk on campus, it was empty--when did you shoot this? Were we in between quarters? Was this during the summer when there were no students around? With 8 different schools at Loma Linda University, we have about 3,000 students on campus so it's usually busy all over the place, especially between classes. So you must've caught it at a dead time. You're right about the number of churches in the Loma Linda area. We have a lot of different ethnic and multi-cultural churches in Loma Linda and the surrounding cities, a lot of them SDA but other denominations as well. Thanks for showcasing our hometown and workplace! You did a great job showing LL as the Blue Zone.

Awww, this video made me smile. I was raised SDA and as a kid the ONLY vegetarian food was by the Lima Linda Worthington brands. I live in Oregon. We had to go to the Adventist Book Center to get it. My friends loved veggie burger, scallops, vege dogs, Swiss steaks but not one of them like Nuteena. Yuuuuuummm, Nuteena. The church puts on a camp called Campmeeting every July and the concessions were all vegetarian and I was in heaven. I went to a SDA summer camp and it was all vegetarian and some of the non SDA kids were like what the heck but again, I was in heaven. I’ve always been vegetarian but recently switched to vegan. My daughter came in to the room as he was walking down the grocery isle and we loved the huge veggie food cans on display in the freezer/fridge section. When he went into the Asian vegan restaurant I am now convinced we need to take a vacation to Lima Linda just for the food haha yuuuum. To be honest Portland does great with vegan options but we live in the suburbs so eh. When he said there were donkeys on the hike I thought he was kidding “the donkeys are hiding because they are the only protein here jn Loma Linda” haaaaahaha. And then there were donkeys. I’ve never seen this guys videos but he’s funny. You go Loma Linda. Love you. But let’s take down the cost of the canned “meats” I paid almost $20 for a can of scallops recently……..
