I went to a fair called the Big E and it was nuts to butts cause we stupidly went on a Saturday. I have diagnosed social anxiety and am actively in therapy for it. I hardly survived the day just holding onto my father's elbow and just going wherever he led me because I was too overwhelmed to make decisions. It's the kind of place where if you stand still you get washed away. Worse than Disney IMHO because the food was actually cheap so everyone had food and if you lifted your hand to scratch something you could knock over someones drink. But who am I kidding, I get nervous even when I'm in the grocery store and I need to walk by one other person because I feel like I'm invading their personal space.

The thing about Disney is that it isn't a social situation. You literally don't socialize with anyone outside your group even if you are a social person, you just have awkward encounters. The only people you actually have normal conversations or if you are social, might make friends with briefly are the staff. So I feel like it's worse.

As someone whose a cast member over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I always have chuckle every time I go to work and I think of Kayla. Haven’t played with Batuu in awhile but I’m fairly certain the CAS items are just copy paste of costumes for CMs who work over in galaxy’s edge. I also fear I’m gonna pronounce Batuu wrong when speaking to a guest because Kayla’s mispronouncing the land’s name is too much of a meme to me now. Edit: so, my location at the park isn’t in galaxy’s edge. but I do know from when I’ve went park orientation when I first started working that the correct pronunciation we use in the parks is in fact ‘BAH-too’ and not ‘BUH-too’. It’s pronounced that way in the script for rise of the resistance. Also 105 minutes for rise of the resistance is close to the average wait time we get during peak visit season. However if the rise isn’t broke down the wait usually goes through pretty quick because the first half of the attraction is technically part of the line to get to the loading dock for the main portion of the ride.

I went to Batuu this year for the first time! It was a surprise trip for my boyfriend so we ate lunch at Docking Bay 7. (Amazing! Highly recommend!) We had the kid's meal because kids meals are so much cheaper and you still get full from them. We also went to Olga's Cantina. It's pretty much just a bar. We also made a droid at the droid factory. It's so amazing! It made me want to get the Batuu pack for the Sims but there's nothing you can do there! Also, Dan dying in the heat is me, as a Canadian who also moved to Florida, dying from Floridian heat.

As a Floridian who has visited Disney too many times to count I really felt that preparation anxiety over which bag to take! And for any Disney trip I always take a reusable water bottle, snacks, wallet, phone w a ziploc bag to protect against water, sanitizer, sunglasses, hand lotion, and a thin sweater you can wrap around your waist because it gets freezing cold waiting indoors in those long lines.
