I consume almost no sugar, snacks, chocolate, biscuits. Every two weeks i have a cheating day. My diet plan did not help me loose weight but kept my weight even though i ate alot in each meal. Starting with Jump rope i did not make changes, only tried to consume less fruits. For a quicker weight loss i would suggest to eat only once a day and cut the snacks completely. Look into intermittent fasting to get more info. 4- Injuries Do not underestimate the warm up moves and right body posture especially the jump height. They will most probably prevent 90% of the injuries. If you feel pain, try to divide your training into multiple sessions in a day. If you cant walk take a day of :) Overall jump rope is even less impact on muscles and joints than running. @@Pushment I agree that the video was well put together and informative, you lost 6.1KG in a month which is almost a stone which is impressive. However, I do think that the video is slightly misleading as at the start you are eating loads of bad food and then you do the 30 day jump rope challenge, in your description you talk about your "Diet Plan" this is the key here to why you have lost 6.1 KG not the jump rope, as I am sure you know diet is at least 75% and the rest is exorcise. The exercise obviously helped but it was only a quarter of what was responsible for you loosing almost a stone. Please note I do not mean this as a negative comment as to jump rope or or 30 minutes a day takes discipline and dedication, I am just trying to make sure that we can all acknowledge that it is what we are eating that makes the biggest impact when loosing weight and not exercise

I heard overweight people shouldnt start with jump rope because it will destroy their knees. What is your experience with that after 4 days?
@SMOCAT082 жыл бұрын
@@Hakumo84 What helped me is I played football and I'm relatively active already. I'm about 6'3. I had to modify it to just 3 minutes. I started feeling it in my shins, but dont let that discourage you. I also do a modified jump like a little bounce before each jump. And swing the rope to my left side and right side before jumping. So it helps me while I get my endurance up, and allows me to be easier on my knees and shins. I'm also getting fitted for new shoes because I've been working out in lifestyle shoes and thats probably a big part too. So at the end of the day, as your working your way up, I'd recommend taking it slow and steady, for me the key is that I am being active everyday. The results I want might not show up for 40 days or 50 days, but thats ok

I've watched a LOT of jump rope vids over the past few months, not one of them ever bothered to mention stretching and prep. Warming up is always important to avoid injury! Kudos to this vid for the entertaining intro, the information and instruction, and the incentive to get up off my keister and do something.
@Pushment2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words. Warming up is indeed the first thing beginners should learn. I learned it the hard way :) Right from the start the third day i could barely walk and had to take a break. But up from day 4, i did stretch the muscles before and after the training, and as you can see i didn't have any problem the remaining 26 days. I want to of course point out that i am not an expert, i watched a lot of tutorials and applied different things. This video is the documentation of what worked for me the best. @@idontcarei i wouldn't recommend the "one size fits all" approach. You know your body better than anyone. Yes, the calves do feel it. Mine certainly do. But for me, thats usually when I don't do warm ups beforehand or some aerobic stretching. Don't jump straight into it. It will tire you out. I realize (with age) just how important warm ups really are. The body is like a car engine. You need to warm it up for peak performance. This especially the "vintage models" like me🤣😁. Add to that breaks in between. Take em when needed. Nobody is watching you and will score you down for that.You will still get the results over time.🙏🏿

@@PushmentaThanks for the kind words. My experience with this workout is amazing. It’s really addicting in a good sense and after I’m done I’m drenched in sweat and feel very great. This has made a big difference so far. For the last 15 years my body was getting more aches and pains which I know is the normal aging process. However since jumping rope I have noticed certain pains have subsided and a couple have disappeared. I’ve been very athletic in high school and college got my black belt when I turned 40 and ran the LA marathon in 2015. I’m no stranger to hard work. My experiment with my body now is to see how long I can keep in excellent shape, hopefully into my late 70,s. We’ll see how my body responds. Great video brother! I attempted to,start my jump rope journey 2 weeks ago and I made the classic mistake of getting too excited and doing too much and Injured myself. It’s taken 2 weeks for me to recover and I’ve learned a valuable lesson. I’m a vitally going to do some calisthenics and practice jumping up and down without the rope till I can do 10 minutes and not feel any pain the next day. This will let me know that my body is used to the impact of jumping and then I will start with the rope and work my way up. As a driver I sit all day and my body is not used to any impact exercise at all so I need to take it slow. Currently 87 kg and I would love to lose 10kg and have this be a regular part of my routine too keep the weight off. Thank you for you video. It is inspiring and well done. 👍🏽

Thank you for your kind words. I am happy it motivated you. Generally jumping rope is not a big impact for the body. What you can do is to wear soft shoes, try to jump lower and better jump 4 times a day 2 minutes each instead of 8 minutes straight. Try to do the warm/up moves i show in the video before and after your training. If you feel pain, you can do them in the middle of a session as well. I wish you the best on your jump rope journey brother!

@@kelvinpham9252 a high carb diet is never a good option for weight loss a better option or the best is a high protein diet or a keto diet! Only if you’re a trained athlete who’s not looking for body recomp it’s feasible.
@truthcompels2 жыл бұрын
@@kelvinpham9252 need to do the opposite, you need to NOT eat carbs. like at all, to enter ketosis, but generally everyone i talk to say to keep a low-carb diet. It works better in the long run cuse you dont want your body to revert back the minute you introduce carbs after reaching your ideal weight.

Great Video. Started my journey 3 days ago. Did you have prior experience jumping rope? As I struggle to do more than a handful of jumps at a time.
@Pushment Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I didnt have any experience. I was struggling a lot in the begining as well. I could only do 10 skips in one go. But quickly o got better. First week is critical. Do not give up. Even if you can do only a few skips keep on trying over and over. Best of luck on your jump rope journey!

Great video. Thanks for uploading. Quick question - when you say you did 5-10 mins the first week and then bumped it up to 30 mins; was this done in intervals or continuous? In other words, would you do 5 sets of 2 mins with a 30 second break for the first week, or did you just go uninterrupted for 10 mins? For 30, was it the same? I’ve heard people say they do 30 mins but it’s never explained if it’s one long 30 min session or if it’s broken down in rounds and breaks.
@Pushment2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. It was increased day by day slowly but i was already on day 10 at 30min jump time. It is quite fast for body to adapt the jumping motion. You also fix your posture and start to impact your body less and less day by day. Once you jump slightly above the ground the impact is small and it is much more easier to go above +1h. I usually did 30min avarage jump time on last 3 weeks in one session daily. But some days i was tired and had sore muscles, then i splitted into 2 sessions. If i had even more pain, i took more breaks during the sessions as well such as jump 1 min wait 2 mins etc. In general even when i do a one 30min jump time session, i never jump 30min nonstop. It is in total 45 to 60min session with a total of 30min jump time. So it is jumping a minute waiting 30sec, jumping a minute waiting 1min. All depends on how you feel. So overall, i cared for the total jump time but not about the amount of sessions i divided it into or the breaks during the sessions. In my case it still helped me improve the technique incredibly quick and overall burned good amount of calories daily
@jazztryppyn84452 жыл бұрын
@@Pushment This is exactly what a lot of commenters wanted to know - jumping with breaks (i.e., 30 secs or 1 min breaks), because it seems inconceivable to do 30mins non-stop within 2 weeks. Thanks for clarifying.

Thanks man. Week 1: 5-10min, Week 2-4: 30min jump time. I didnt focus on the amount of jumps, rather focused on the "jump time". It worked for me the best.

Hey man! Great video! Did you lose 6 kg in one month just by jumping rope? Or did u change meal plan and / or include other exercises and weight training as well?
@Pushment2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes i lost 6kg in a month. Overall main exercise was jumping rope. Apart from that i did go running 3 times a week and had an avarage intermittent fasting. Overall i took less calories than i supposed to. For my age, weight i need around 2000kcal to keep my weight balanced. I took around 1500.
