Depends on your level. I am 1500 and I beat the best Magnus bot taking out his queen. Tried the same with stock fish but ended in a draw. So, for a professional player it will be enough taking out a couple pawns or a knight.

This is like the final episodes of YuGiOh season 1 where Yami and Yugi switch places when duelling Pegasus so that he can't read their minds because neither one knows what the plan is but they just trust eachother, though Yami (stockfish) is clearly the better duelist at the time

I’m not a huge fan of Ben Finegold or anything, but please do a breakdown of the game where he beat mittens without any assistance. Insane insane game
@TheHadMatters2 жыл бұрын
I saw that game too, and I am a fan of Ben's overall, but I think the way he did it can be summarised down to: "He played very principled chess." I think the main reason people aren't beating it is that online chess players, and especially streamers, aren't investing near-tournament-scale effort into it - which is what the bot requires, in addition to some luck of it playing particularly aggressive moves. Ben is the kind of enthusiast who has the patience and passion to choose to invest that amount of focus into a game against a bot, so he got his deserved win. Notably he has that patience because he *likes* thinking about chess, whereas younger, more ambitious players prefer "getting better" or "winning" at chess.
