Source a local frame chassis or fab shop to straighten out those pinch welds and weld up a jack lifting plate to permanently resolve that issue.

Before you pull the trigger on P1 springs, the 22B didn't use those springs. The Prodrive P1 was UK only special model, that used red inverted struts, probably made by kyb, not bilstein. I know RCM got bilstein and eibach to manufacture another run of 22B struts and springs and they sell the whole bundle on their website for 5000 pounds. Mayyybe they'll sell you the springs by themselves. The s209 has a quicker steering ratio for sure. I don't think Luke ever changed from the stock 2.5rs steering rack. It's certainly possible to install a 2015+ sti steering rack the s209 has into the GC chassis, though usually the front crossmember needs to be modified with an angle grinder, both the inner and outer tie rods need to be shortened, and it needs the 2015+ power steering pump. Alternatively, there's a company in Poland called PRS that rebuilds steering racks with quicker gears offering a LHD rack for GCs. The rack is slightly quicker than the s209 and is direct bolt on as far as I know. You have to contact them through facebook though.

They are not cheap. I think it was $1050 last time I looked, maybe that was euros though, and I'm not sure if it includes shipping. Still probably less hassle than cutting the car and fooling with fluid lines to make the 2015 rack work. Everyone who's ever done it says it's worth it though. Oh and also, the 8k redline on the JDM EJ20s is a bit misleading. The engine has such a strong midrange that it's faster to short shift at about 7k rpm. There's a Best Motoring episode where they take a STI type ra-r to the nurburgring and they find that laptimes are better when short shifting like this. So, the high redline is mostly just useful so the driver isn't forced into awkward shift points.

Amazing buy. I have a 18 type ra and a ej207 gc8. Compete different cars to drive. The gc8 feels more raw and more mechanical which makes sense. Are you planing on changing to ver5/6 bumpers and wings?

Yes, I already ordered the bumper conversion. The wing I am fine with currently, but this can change in the future!

I thought about it for a while now, probably not. Most I will do is swap out the front bumper for the better looking fog lights. And then at some point I'll need to give the car a fresh repaint
