employers have a responsibility to keep up team moral. If you have felt like you did not want to be their, chances are, the management is poor. Leadership is an important skill for managers, if the leader is low skilled, then the employees will often suffer. Unfortunately, its usually the employees that are cut loose, and not the low skilled managers.

I was just fired today with absolutely no notice. They made up fake reasons for the firing and made me feel isolated and alone while I was there. The company just spent $1,000 on uniforms for me last week and paid for my complete training, then fired me! I also had horrible management... I sympathize with your pain. I got fired yesterday. I’m supposed to be at work at 4 am. I have a prepaid phone. My service ran out. I overslept that morning. Woke up at 7am went and got my service turned on. They called me I called them told them the situation. They fired me over the phone. Pick ya self up. Brush ya shoulders off and move on.

Hey Daniel, I just happen to run across your video and I feel for you. I'm sorry to hear about your dog and the problems you have been dealing with. But look at the bigger picture, even in this storm there is going to be clear skies. It may be a while and it is not going to be easy; but just hold your head high and keep moving forward. I have been reading the nasty comments below and honestly these people are low lives struggling just like the rest of the working class. I got fired a month ago and though it stung a bit, I actually didn’t feel as bad after a couple days realizing the dumb daily tasks they had us do and how we felt pressured often. I’ve been interviewing for new jobs that pay 20k more a year and I should find something better soon. Also having 20k in the bank as an emergency fund makes you feel so much more relaxed and confident.

Some advice. If your not happy with your job you have to be proactive and look for another one and bounce early before getting fired. You an try to hide it all you want but if your unhappy at a job, people will notice. Best of luck to you.

I was fired too, and could smell it coming. Best thing to do of course is look for another job, but never quit. If you quit without having a new job first you will miss out on severance pay, unemployment, vacation payout, and possibly suing the company for unlawful termination.

Just got fired today. I've been working in a delivery job as a rider for a couple of months. If you're a minority of a racial group at your workplace then you're fucked. Although it was a student 9-5 job and sucked it was the job that put meals on my table. It feels terrible cuz I was getting used to it and it feels worse cuz It happened during exams so yea not a good time for looking for a new job. Anyways I have no choice. I was fired from a less than minimum wage job when a group of Mexican high school children ran me out of a car dealership. I was under a union contract and no lawyer cared to sue on my behalf on contingency. One jerk asked for $30K even though I made $10 per hour. No one cares, life sucks. Now I gamble for a living. Well you can’t come late to work. You have to make “coming early to work” your first priority. Set alarms to get ready or leave your house at the right times. You can’t just “ oh I might be late today... and the next day ... and the next day” I mean; what are you trying to show your employer with that???

Was there up until Feb 28th of this year. The assholes I worked for were unbearable. I was going to quit but they beat me to the punch. The witch of a CFO hated me for personal reasons rather than professional ones, so she fired me and one other very hard working lady there too. Good. I had to work 60 hours a week sometimes with no overtime pay, dealing with asshole managers and asshole coworkers and assholes all around. Never work for a family-owned operation. I now work for a large public university and although it's not perfect, it's way better. Good luck!

That aside, I know I’m 4 years late and you’ve probably moved on in your career, but if I may provide a few honest observations: - Claiming you got fired “out of the blue for no good reason” is usually not true, even in a state that has employment at will. Even those who are laid off are at least given a day’s notice. You yourself mentioned you were late three days in a row. If you work for an employer with strict attendance policies, especially if you were an hourly employee, then they had a perfectly legitimate reason to terminate you. Sorry, but that’s the truth. - Vlogging on a worldwide social platform about why you were fired is never a good idea. Ever. Potential employers can and WILL find out about you on here and you can bet they’ll be watching your videos as well as visiting your social media profiles. If I were you, I’d take this video down. - Finally, don’t rant about how much you hated your job and that you’d been wanting to leave for a while. Even if you’re telling the truth, employers will see that and think you have no work ethic and will not be motivated. That’s a big problem. But seeing as how this was 4 years ago, I hope things worked out for you.

A good manager/boss will take everything into consideration- including how he's mentally and physically grown up since the video, how he didn't actually shit talk anything or anyone at the company. They will have already talked to him, and know what he's like- this will just confirm he's a decent person. A bad manager/boss will do and assume what you listed.

I was the only employee and he had nothing else for me to do but sit there and deconstruct old flashlights to see if there were any usable batteries and scrub old Nintendo NES systems with a toothbrush to clean them. He brought in a toothbrush for me to use... covered in dry toothpaste. The asshole expected me to touch his old toothbrush covered with his plaque and used toothpaste to scrub dirt off of old video game consoles. So fuck you.
