Trevor - you're awesome for responding! Kudos to you brother. Did you know one thing I learned about the % chance of rain? Totally PO'd me. But...the percentage is only an indicator of how much land will receive rain IF it rains. Because every day is a 50/50 chance. The 9% is if it rains, how much of the area will get rain. I ended up buying my Dad an AcuRite weather station but the cool thing is you can view other people in your area and get real-time weather updates. I've also been trying to get better at reading a barometer LOL! But I'd rather just go eat a burrito instead and forget about it.

Trying to learn about this hay farming, just for fun cuz I like your videos. So what I don't know is when is it bad to get the rain, after you've cut but before you've baled it? is that because it won't be able to dry out when its laying down?
@BalesHayFarmandRanch2 жыл бұрын
No, we’ll be able to get it to dry down quickly with our heat. It changed the coloring. It takes the green away. It goes from beautiful deep green to a light off green, or yellow brownish color. And depending on where in the process, we might have to flip it over to dry out. Which cost more money. Color is key to the retail horse hay market.
