Even though you had a fall out with jumping, you can tell how much you loved her. I feel your pain. I was forced to sell my beloved horse jack last year due to stress with school now that I'm settled properly in school I'm back on the look out for the perfect horse for me but I'm the same sometimes I just miss my friend

This horse was hurting, the way she lost her balance and collapsed from just shaking her head, that's a red flag that something is wrong. If you got a vet to check her back, he obviously wasn't a 'horse' vet. My opinion is her back or hooves were causing her pain. it's such a shame because she was a nice mare and you are a talented rider. Best wishes and keep safe.

Girl if you love the horse and he's the one then it doesn't matter. But if you don't fit- don't do it. I am 1.52m and I rode horses about 1.80m at my yard. :)

I'm still young and found a 16.2 gelding I don't care he's tall I don't care he has a tragic deep leg injury or he's 17 I love him and I'm getting him :)

BreyerHorzeProductions I would be careful with that... when you know for 100% that you 1) have enough money to pay for the vet as it will be super expensive when he is already injured and 2) that you would be completely fine with never being able to ride him, then you can get him. theres still the risk that hes never going to be rideable and when hes 17 he still has over 10 years to live when hes lucky which is a long time not being able to ride.. otherwise i personally wouldnt get that horse. i myself have a horse which is injured quite a lot from playing in the pasture and i know how it is to only take care of him for months. i'd never get a horse already injured because i love riding way to much to take a risk like that. but its your own descision :)
