Actually you’ve got a good point. “King Kong” is Percy Jacksons interpretation in the most recent sense. Therefore Legendary refers to this adaptation as “Kong” avoiding copyright and trademark issues. King Kong is an homage to the original King Kong who climbed the building and held the woman while swinging at planes blah blah blah. Very cool movie, I liked Percy Jackson’s. However, the fans of Godzilla since the early days remember the FIRST time Godzilla and King Kong fought and Godzilla actually lost that fight. But Godzilla was known as “King of the Monsters” for a very long time and holding that title for years and even now. Besides, the point is, this is Kong. Until Legendary gets rights to use the title “King Kong”, this adaptation is best referred to as “Kong”. Saw a video comparing Kong to Godzilla but used video of “King Kong” and his traits instead of Kong and I’m like… hold up 😂

I loved the movie. Just disappointed how kingkong is not evolving anymore unlike how he was in Skull Island. He is vulnerable and had to get help from humans to recover. They told in Skull Island movie that he gets strong everytime he defeats another monster but that doesn't seem to happen anymore. Hope he gets a revamp in terms of power and strength
