I saw this video by ‪@jamesrebuck‬ a while back about the "Smithsonian Institution Statement Regarding the Book of Mormon." It was an interesting video. I just think James missed 9 points plus a few extra. So I answered them.
By the way don't harass this creator. This is just the start of our budding friendship.

Critics of the church have actually been a big part of moving the work further as their concerns are studied and addressed. As I mentioned earlier, 90% of the initial anachronisms have been resolved

Of course, the critics acknowledge none of it. Which goes to show it was never really about "evidence" for them, as they pretend.
@sertinduhm6378

and yet the LDS church moves their goalposts every which way, because critics proved them false. You still have yet to provide any true DNA evidence. You can't find a single Nephite, Lamanite, Or Jaredite city. You can't even agree which continent the events took place. Why is that? it is because the BOM is not true. but even without physical evidence, we can prove the spiritual claims are not true either. 1 Nephi 3:7 states that no commandments are given unless they can be kept. Well, God gives Adam and Eve contradicting commandments (according to the BOM.) This means that they can not keep all of the commandments, which proves the claims of the BOM are false.

A really important factor for me is that as technology advances, anachronisms in the Book of Mormon have only decreased. There were originally 200+ anachronisms, now it down to about 12-15 I believe. I'm glad you brought up the Haplogroup X and R, this is another potential example of science and technology progressing to eliminate anachronisms

I used to be naïve and believed that science was always trying to get at the truth. Come to find out that it is horrible polilticized and in some cases as in the Smithsonian, it is used to block the truth because it doesn’t fit the favorite narrative of certain “scientists” Recently discovered that that an early Smithsonian leader was devoted to discrediting Joseph Smith because his father was a pastor who lost a lot of parishioners to the Church of JC of LDS. Makes more sense now why they hide and discredit any Book of Mormon evidence that comes from the heartland of the U.S. fascinating!

Bat Creek Stone found in Louden TN, the Egyptian style temple was founded near Teleco, now under the Telico River, and the church is constructing a new temple in/near Farragut, all these are in the same general/relative area. This must be where King Noah fell, Abinidi testified, and Alma fled, then went through a Jewish Priestly purification ritualistic washing by dipping himself into the waters of a running spring, then proceeded to baptize. This is where the priests of Noah fled to the mountains and stole dancing Lamanite women. The geography is perfect. The network of rivers and direction that lead to Illinois and Ohio, Great Lakes were Adena/Jaredites were is just perfect.

I’m not here to nitpick, but just from my understanding of reading the Book of Mormon, that as part of the storms and quakes and sinking happening at the event of The Crucifixion, that a lot of the landscape and geography was shaken up. Maybe not to the degree to ultimately conclude where EXACTLY the nephite/lamanite lands were/are. I understand that the hill that Moroni buried the plates is NOT the same hill where the last of the nephites excluding Moroni were slain (it’s just a misreading early church members assumed that the 2 hills were one and the same hence that hill since the Church was founded is now called the Hill Cummorah.) I’ve heard the heartland theory, I’ve seen the push for the mesoamerica theory, and I’ve even heard arguments for the nephite/lamanite lands to be in the north part of South America (Columbia, Guyana, Venezuela, Ecuador), and all have convincing evidences, but ultimately it’s not where I base my testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. After all, we’re to learn by faith and act upon that faith to gain knowledge and grow closer to Jesus, not simply because a place or a thing exists/doesn’t exist.

One problem is that Christopher Columbus never set foot on the Continental United States of America, only Honduras in the Southern Yucatecan Peninsula in Mesoamerica, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama and Venezuela. And Christopher Columbus never met any Native Americans, only Mesoamericans. And it was prophesied that Columbus would visit the seed of Nephi's brethren in the Promised Land. All later explorers could only fit the description of "other Gentiles" in 1 Nephi 13: 13. Christopher Columbus even wrote in his journal that he felt the Spirit of God guiding him. But as damaging as these facts are to Heartlanders, the real nail in the coffin is Seismology. The Heartlanders point to the Madrid quake, but that is located well within Lamanite territory or South of Lamanite territory, depending on which Heartland model you use. And the earthquake would have to be at least 10 times as strong to have a hope of matching the description in The Book Of Mormon, but the farther you go North in the Heartland, the fewer and weaker earthquakes are, with no major earthquakes anywhere in the Heartland areas assigned as Nephite territory since well before The Book Of Mormon took place, the exact opposite of what is described in 3 Nephi 8:. Nothing can change these facts, look at a seismic map of the Heartland yourself. There are no great mountains in the Heartland models, let alone one that could have buried a city. What mountains there are have had no events that make them grow since well before when The Book Of Mormon happened, the mountains were only slowly eroding during that time. Further, where alone the Gulf Coast states or Eastern Seaboard is a city going to be able to be sunk and drowned in the depths of the sea, especially, if like they believe, the temperature was much warmer and the sea levels much higher? That would require a city to slide 10 or more miles out to sea to reach the edge of the Continental Shelf. Sorry, but there's absolutely no way any Heartland model works. God uses the laws of nature for miracles, he doesn't ignore them. And the first head of the Smithsonian was very religious, and refused to acknowledge anything dated older than 4,000B.C., it took his death and a new head for the Smithsonian to Accept Clovis First and the Bering Land Bridge. Did you know that a 10,000 year old Australasian DNA has been found in a cave in the Amazon, but no Australasian DNA found in any of the human remains in North America? However the Blackfoot man Lone Bull or Derrell "Dusty" Crawford got his Ancestral DNA tested, and it traced back to 17,000B.C., and the earliest DNA was Polynesian. He also had small amounts of Asian and European DNA. They theorize that Polynesians landed somewhere in Mexico and traveled North from there.

He was rescued and when they went into t the hole. The area was a big box made of stone. . Now the founder of the Smithsonian was a friend of Joseph Smith, but the founders of the Smithsonians father , was a preacher, and he was mad because many of his members joined the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. For example, changes in traits of dinosaurs, such as filling of niches (ecological roles) after the Great Dying, as well as adaptation from reptilian traits to avian, can be observed. I’m sorry you feel that that is what the Book of Mormon is all about, because that’s not the message I got out of it. It’s about Gods love for his children. It testifies to me that he loves all his children, my favorite part of the Book of Mormon is where he comes to the people and all were able to touch the nail prints in his hands and feet. He teaches and prays with the people . He heals the sick and blesses them. He talks about going and visiting others and bringing them into the fold. I believe he visited every nation on the earth, this is what the message of the Book of Mormon. That we are all his children and Jesus Christ paid for all of our sins and made it possible for us all to return to our Heavenly Father. He didn’t want just his children from one small corner of the world. He made possible through our agency to all return to him. That’s what both the Book of Mormon and Bible teach together hand in hand. Heavenly Father loves you and me and every person on this earth. That’s the message I’ve received from reading it. Please don’t ask him what pre-mortal sin he did he is not cursed. He is a son of God who is testifying of his belief of the Book of Mormon. He does not deserve that.
