You are becoming a Florida girl! All tan and enjoying the great outdoors. Three things I want to remind you of when kayaking. I know it's like having another dad. Always have a life jacket with you, have a whistle, and check the tides before you go up in the mangroves. I know people that went in and got stuck because to tide went out. They had to wait 8 hours before the water got deep enough to come back out. The beach at night is awesome. Hope you had fun and yes, a shark.

There is an island out that way that you can only get to by boat or kayak. You CAN camp on it but that is the only way to reach it. You should try to find out about it! Have you gone to any of the springs near Ocala? There are some east of Ocala that we loved when we lived there! Salt Springs is amazing and those crabs reminded me of it, lol. This is so awesome I live south of Clearwater now but considering moving a couple miles from that causeway. What do you think? Do you like that area??? Oh, that was NOT a dolphin. They swim in swimming areas in Indian Rocks Beach and their fins are different, manatees swim with us too at that beach. Enjoy yourself!

I spent first 35 years of my life in Clearwater so this is fun. I can delete several lame vids off my phone since your vid is superior & covers so much. If you kayak there again know that there are several spoil islands from channel dredging through there that have beach & trees that you could camp on. Eat at the original Frenchy’s & get the grouper cheeks & a Reef Donkey beer. The Beach Fire has good seafood too. Thanks for putting living mollusks back in the water.

The ‘little birds’ were most likely Sand Pipers, the bigger birds were, of course, Sea Gulls. It’s illegal to ‘take’ (ie catch) certain Groupers. Some can grow as large as 500 lbs, and the bigger they are, the older they are, so, most spear or pole fishermen (and women) tend to steer clear of Grouper. Wouldn’t hurt to ask your server who they buy their seafood from, and check them out 😉

That is a shark. I’ve spent a lot of time on the water here in the gulf and an easy indicator for telling the difference between shark and dolphins is that sharks will only show their fin and dolphins will show part of their back too when breaching the water.

@@kellyhays23 That was a shark. To make sure, I watched video on 52" screen. The color and shape of main dorsal fin suggest Spinner shark (overall harmless to people), plus note the second dorsal fin moving side to side. Dolphins do NOT have a second dorsal fin. Right now Florida is loaded with them, especially this time of year during the mullet migration. Our sharks in Florida do move up into the shallow waters. I've been catching (and releasing) them in the backcountry just an hour north of Clearwater. This was an awesome video.Keep up the great content and enjoy yourself here in my Native Playground. I do have one request and I'm sure others will agree, please stop playing on your phone while driving. We'd all like to keep you around.

@@timfields6130 sounds like you know what’s up! I didn’t go to the extra trouble to check a large screen etc. 👏 as Kelly says, “KZbin knows all!” It looked like 2 fins, and I figured 2 dolphins swimming side by side.
