I watch so many of these. My heart aches for all these amazing moms and dads 😢 there’s a common theme in almost all, not all but a lot. Either moms dismissing their concerns in their heads or doctors dismissing the concerns. Ladies, do not trust anyone with your babies life. Even the doctors. Or your own for that matter. Almost all these stories the momma has a feeling something is wrong before it was too late. Go In IMMEDIATELY the second you think something is wrong. Scream at them if they dismiss you. And learn your baby’s movement. Any increase or decrease in movement is EMERGENT and RUN to the hospital at lightening speed! So many people are worried about looking silly, I did too. Or bothering the hospital staff. But who cares. this is your baby. It is worth your peace of mind and of course 99% of the time baby is fine. no one thinks they’ll be the 1% but someone has to be and it can be anyone. If you are pregnant get a fetal Doppler! It’s amazing for bonding but also if you ever are nervous about baby it gives peace of mind. Especially before baby moves. And if you do have an increase or decrease you can check for a heartbeat. It is very easy (I could find mine at 9 weeks with ease. But if your BMI is higher it can be tougher that early. But after the first trimester it should be almost immediate) to find a heart beat so if you cannot, RUN do not wait RUN to the hospital . Never wait, do not shower, do not pack. Just go. I heard that a lot too. Doctor says come in and they say they showered and packed, of course they could have never known and normally it’s too late by then anyways but still get in there asap. ASK your doctors to measure your placenta if you notice they aren’t!!! They all should but I know a lot don’t. The stillbirths that can be prevented, most probably cannot be unfortunately, but the ones that can are normally when the placenta is too small and they don’t realize! Because it can support baby until like 30 weeks most of the time and then fails. And a lot of times it’s too late but if they knew they could have taken baby early and saved them. Be your own doctor, learn everything you can. We are numbers and money to the hospital. But our babies are the world to us. Everything you need to know is online about pregnancy and after birth. I was 21 when I had my first baby. But I love research so I read and read and read. And learnt everything. Do the same. Then you will know what to expect. And God forbid anything goes wrong you will be ready. One of my babies needed help at birth. I heard them talking and knew exactly what was going on because of my research. Actually the second I heard her bad breathing I knew the NICU was coming. Same with my son’s ultrasound . I had watched them online. He had a spot on his heart. Immediately I pointed and said what is that? That is not normal. Get a doctor now. And they did. They knew I knew so they didn’t beat around the bush. I also knew that is normally nothing and resolves itself. So it was terrifying but I knew he’s probably be fine which helped so much. And he was, both babies are perfect and healthy. But I’m so happy I was prepared. I knew what to do when we got home. I knew what their poop should look like, how many pee diapers they needed, I knew the tricks of nursing and it helped so much. When I got mastitis I knew immediately what was happening to me and got antibiotics called in immediately and was better in less the a day. Do not expect the doctors to inform you of everything. They never do. You do it yourself because no one cares about your baby more then you. ❤❤❤❤❤ so much love to all the loss momma and mommas in general. You all got this and are so strong and beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤

This story is almost exactly like mine. Except I was scheduled for an induction. We did not know our daughter died until we went to give birth to her. I'm sorry for your loss mama. Prayers that we may see our angels in heaven and can hold them for eternity there.

I am so very very sorry for the loss of your beautiful baby boy😢💔🩵 My heart breaks for you and your family. I just wanted to throw in here that I too am from Honduras. I was adopted by age 1 and brought to America by my amazing parents. I rarely hear or see anyone who comes from our country and when I first saw you, I was in awe. Your beauty and love, seap right out of soul and are plainly beautiful for the world to see. I'm positive your baby felt your love for him every second he was with you on the inside. ❤

It is so sad that you and your concerns were dismissed. “I’m so sorry” was what the midwife said and that seems so inadequate given the outcome.

That was handled so badly by them. As soon as mothers notice a change they should be welcome and encouraged to get checked.
