I hiked the yellow trail back in June. I parked in the lot by the spring house. I missed the ruins, though. Needs a return trip! Thanks, Cliff.

Looks like a good place to visit during the spring/early summer for a hike to check out the flowers in that field.

That was me and my pups you met in the parking lot! I thought I might run into you somewhere one of these days. BTW - you’re right, the RR tracks are still active. They go up to Coatesville but usually see one round trip at most on weekdays.

My friend and I were there last year and we were not impressed with the preserve. We did see the stargazer stone. After seeing your video, it looks like we might need to go back and take the trail you took to see the ruins and Potters field.

What a great place! I'd love to go there in the spring. That first woodpecker,I had one at my feeder the other day. And isn't the Nuthatch the one that goes down tree trunks backwards? Merry Christmas and lots of love to you and your mom. ❤❤❤

Downy Woodpecker and yes, nuthatches climb down trees head first. That lets them see prey that the woodpeckers might miss. Neat birds!
