Ever watched monogatari series? if you didn't you should the dialogues are so good they sometimes pass the entire episode with conversations you don't get tired and gets really immersed, note that there's a lot of japanese references and pun that will only make sense if you are japanese that's the only downside

The doctor Is just Buff or look like a criminal (reason why he also have few clients) A moment that make my doubt when the taxi drivers referes as a alpaca to well... The alpaca with the prhase: Is hard to forget you, you are the only alpaca around. BUT i think this could be just a missdirection and she being a alpaca means she Is latina. (She Is a animal from sudamérica that ALSO knows capoiera) so my guest Is that the alpaca think Is just a way to see Her etnia. My other points for this theory Is how some animals Fit too well their role in the story. I love how subdued the dialog is compared to other anime with more exaggeration. You can really hear the intonation of the Japanese language better when it's not as "acted" if that makes any sense.

Subtext. Good dialogue is not about cleverness, flowery prose or savvy quotes. Is about words expressing ideas in multiple layers, like real people usually do. ODDTAXI dialog is so good because everything has subtext. The series itself is made of subtext!!! Really, really amazing show.
