Just pointing out, I don't read this as an abusive relationship... I get why people read it that way and that is probably the story behind the song but I read it completely differently. I think it's about a person who has got themselves a bad reputation (maybe got into fights or something) and they fall in love with someone who's shy and calm and gentle. I watched this, two years ago. I always remembered it, occasionally then and then, listened to the song. Watched the animation, I loved it. Now, two years later I remembered it once again, however this time. I was sitting on the buss, and I imagined making an animation for this. Detailed, colorful, creative. And that's when I decided to learn animation, I will learn it in school, I will finally learn to draw. Although I've barely taken any steps there, I've gotten accepted into the school and bought a drawing pad. My art? Not the best, but I like to think.. In two years, I'll be back.

When I listen to the song I think that it symbolizes that the wolf has tried to fight back and feels like there is no escaping instinct... So the wolf may symbolize someone who is mentally unstable and feels like they can’t change the way things are, and the rabbit symbolizes the opportunity for change and still the wolf refuses to accept it’s mistakes and is afraid of change and eventually falls deeper into the hole of what the wolf fears most, which is the truth. If you saw the original Animation it is not that far off. In the Animation the wolf ends up killing the rabbit but not by brutally hunting it down. It is way more gental you could say. And he doesnt eat it he takes it to a cave and lays beside it almost looking like protecting the dead rabbit. So it would fit for the wolf to not actually want to kill it but doing it out of instincts and feeling bad afterwards.

the way i see it the singer is in a abusive relationship , but he is the abuser(hence the rabbit and wolf references) i get the vibe that he's hurt whoever he's with more than once,and the rabbit actually didn't want to come back this time. the abuser or wolf couldn't handle that, he's desperately trying to coat the rabbit to come back with him. he's pleading that he's done hurting him. that he's not like he's family/pack(probably also abusive, thus why he's the way he is). the rabbit believes him(probably seeing some good in him) and returns, and things are good for a while until the wolf relapses hard. in in some ind of hellish fury kills the poor rabbit. the last part hits me , since it sounds like the wolf is in denial. He's wrapping his dead lover in the blanket unable cope(that's why the rabbit's looking the other way), trying to warm and protect the cold dead body. but that's just my theory, i could be wrong. it could be about a cheeseburger

Think Ryuuji from Toradora, people are scared of him so he is alone. I think that the wolf in this song is sort of the same way, except that they actually give you a reason to be scared. NOT ENTIRELY BASED ON THE SONG : Sounds like someone who's like, some murderer or something falls in love with a over all innocent girl, and she knows nothing of him until a few of her friends bring him up, as they believe someone who looks like him is staring at her from across the street. She looks over, and begins to run as she notices him, and he quickly chases after. She reaches a dead end on the street and halts in hesitation, just enough time for him to catch up. He pins her down on the road and she tries to escape, she yells out but nobody hears her, since nobody else is on the street due to it being rather run-down. She manages to calm down, somewhat, and he explains to her how he feels, and since she doesn't have the energy to fight back, he picks her up, taking her away somewhere that he'll be able to care for her until he's caught again, or people begin searching for her, and even then, he won't be willing to give her up to them.

I think this song is about an abusive relationship (like a lot of people.) I think his father was abusive to his mother, and he didn't want to end up like that (the rest of his pack) but instead he does. He (the wolf) tells the girl (rabbit) that he's changed, and he pleads her to come back, so they do. After a few days, he continues to be abusive, and eventually he ends up killing her. He feels terrible and I'm guessing he dies from guilt. That's how I see it.

Why do I interpret the song as maybe being about a stalker following their victim and they end up comforting them when they were injured, before a primal instinct kicked in and they struck, killing the one they loved and taking them away before they realised what they did and placed their victim by them, so they could "keep them warm"? Like, it could even be that the stalker injured them in the beginning and they realised they were doing wrong, so they decided to comfort them in the cold. Then, they tell their victim they left their "pack" behind to follow this one person, before the instinct kicks in that tells them to kill, so they do it, before they pick up the victim's body and carry it somewhere they can't be found. Then, in the ending of the song, they realise what they've done, so they cuddle up to the victim, close their eyes and go to sleep, before a gunshot is heard, signalling the loss of two lives. (Just saying, this is my interpretation and I don't know if anyone else saw it the same way as me. If you did, cool.)

I believe there are three possible interpretations: 1.: the wolf is trying to convince the rabbit getting closer to him so that he has it easier to kill him. 2.: the wolf is telling the truth and has a different "personality" than actually wolves and wants the rabbit to be his friend. 3.: the wolf is telling the truth, that he dont want to kill the rabbit, but he cant change the fact, that he is a wolf and ends up killing the rabbit- that would explain the dramatical change of sound right before the last sentence. I know many people say the song really isn't about wolves. But that's your perspective on the song. The lyricist could've actually talked about wolves and rabbit, or maybe a man and a women. We don't know. So the simple thing is to let everyone think they way they want about the song. For me, I think about it in two ways. An actual wolf trying to befriend his prey, but due to the fact he couldn't control his instincts, he killed the rabbit. I also see it as a man trying to lure a girl into false safety.
