I am a very heavy believer of Jackie = Puppet Prototype/Precursor. In the same vein of Fredbear = Freddy. The puppet is a recreation/rebranding of Jackie. The puppet still has jack in the box adjacent programing and implications.

Theory: Jackie and the Mimic are separate animatronics, Jackie sometime gets scrapped and the Mimic takes the worn down costume or the Mimic just attacks Jackie and takes the costume. If you look at both versions you can see the face looks the same except that Jackie's face is more stretched and doesn't fit the shape of the Mimic.

@@SnaxxHaxTV Yeah, the trailer “Jackie” is lacking a lot of her stuff in her actual model. The Mimic also doesn’t have those extending arms so I think it corrupts Jackie with the warped personality thing like it does to the Glamrocks then uses her scraps later in the game. If game Edwin is Henry and game David is Charlie, it also could explain why the devs chose to play the puppet’s music box while having the Mimic pop out of Jackie’s box wearing a scrapped version of her face. It’s trying to mimic the puppet the same way book Mimic placed itself into the tiger animatronic

Like Gonk said, the eye's are extremely different to what Jackie has, and maybe it's just me- but isn't the fact that both the Party Hat and Hair are gone from the suit showing that something isn't right about it? Ruin Mimic looked cobbled together in the first place. As a learning AI I wouldn't be surprised if it learned how build/repair animatronics from watching its creator and cobbled together/stole legs from another animatronic.

I don't know why but I feel like Jackie could be her own character seprate from the mimic. Then somewhere down the line, the Jackie animatronic is broken or gutted, and the Mimic squeezes itself into Jackie's hollow body (especially if it's a springlock suit of somesort) and uses that empty animatronic as a disguise of sorts during Fall Fest, maybe hiding out in Jackie's box before Fall Fest begins, which would be why we see it as it is in the trailer: slightly broken and having the mimics eyes (as if Jackie's eyes were taken out or broken) Not sure, just throwing ideas out there. Any thoughts?

Things I think. 1. I fully believe that this game will finally and officially confirm whether or not the tales from the pizzaplex books are canon to the games. 2. I think theirs a 50/50% possibility that we will see who created the MXES System. 3. If we see fall fest 1970 I think the mimic is the one who’s gonna be responsible for the fire. 4. Theirs a slim chance we may play as either William or Henry during secret of the mimic. 5. SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN’T READ TALES FROM THE PIZZAPLEX. In the tales books it’s said that fazbear entertainment once had an entire line of mimic endoskeletons but they were all decommissioned for mimicking human behavior in ways they weren’t suppose to, I don’t think Jackie will be the only variant of the mimic we’ll see, their might be multiple mimics as different characters we may encounter. 6. We might see fredbear’s family diner or fredbear’s singing show as an Easter egg. 7. I think that the Puppet/Marionette, Fredbear, Springbonnie, Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Balloon Boy, Baby, Mangle, Mr Hippo, Orville Elephant, Happy Frog, Neddbear, Pigpatch, Mystic Hippo, Sun/Moon were all the characters who originated from fallfest 1970 and possibly others.

If Edwin is the creator then it is strong evidence that tales would be but does not confirm it as this could be another silver eyes situation. Well that and the issues with conflicting information between the two storylines. Scott's comments about the story of Security Breach not being the story he wanted to tell throws that game to a potentially secondary source status. If they do not tell us the name of the creator (most likely scenario) then the debate continues on.

Jumpscared by a photo I took at 16:20 lol I'm hesitant to say for sure if Secret of the Mimic will definitely prove or disprove TalesGames, but yeah, from what I saw I do lean towards Rye's side of the debate. Assuming TalesGames to be true, even though Edwin does have a factory where he worked on stuff and his company was owned by Fazbear Entertainment, the Mimic definitely wasn't Jackie during its time there. If Jackie's the Mimic, that implies that either Edwin put the Mimic in the Jack in the Box animatronic after he tried to destroy it, or some secret person pre-Team A or post-Team B would have had to do it, which seems like a stretch in my eyes. Either way, great video! It'll be interesting to see where the story ends up going

I personally prefer if the Tales books stay in their own adjacent continuity, like the Frights books do. I’ve always just assumed that Scott intended for things in the books to parallel things in the games. Not be 1 to 1. Similar to his usage of the Silver Eyes trilogy. My personal theory about the FNaF games(Steel Wool era) timeline is that Edwin doesn’t exist, and is just a parallel to Henry Emily and Edwin’s son, David, is a parallel to Charlie. Game Henry is implied to be an engineering genius, doesn’t seem to have a wife (anymore) and has a kid who died in a car related incident while Henry was too busy working on his career. I also think that the mimic was initially written as a parallel to how Henry made the Puppet to watch over Charlie, but Scott liked the evil AI idea and made it a part of the main continuity of the games. Henry and Edwin also disappear from their respective timelines after the death of their kids and pop back up in an attempt to fix the problems they feel responsible for allowing to take place. Afton & the Mimic ai, respectively. Wether or not I’m right about Edwin being a Tales stand in for Henry, I really hope that ‘The Secret of the Mimic’ name drops one or both of them and gives us some actual details on the early parts of the story. I know Scott is so secretive about giving actual details that he let SB be made with nothing but bullet point notes for objects, but after stating he learned his lesson and HW2 giving us way more specific details, I think we might get a properly lore heavy entry into the series this time. I believe this game will take place right around the time Afton kills Charlie. Henry will already have made the mimic to distract Charlie, and the game will take place in Henry’s warehouse/factory that Fazbear Entertainment gave him to create animatronics and costumes for Freadbears’ Diner, Fallfest, the future Freddy’s Restaurants and possibly more establishments. The significance of Charlie’s death happening right before the game or even during is that Charlie’s possession of the puppet plays a narrative foil to the mimic’s infecting of the animatronics. Assumedly the Mimic was made to distract Charlie at home or the warehouse while Henry worked, while the Puppet was made to keep Charlie from leaving Freadbear’s while Henry was working at a diner or at the warehouse. Both made to keep Charlie busy, but one failed and became her vessel while the other was attacked by Henry and infused with his Agony of Charlie’s death. Both the Mimic and Puppet would be created by Henry and thrusted into major roles as a result of Charlie’s death. Charlie then “helped” the MCI victims by having them posses Henry’s animatronics, while the Mimic “possessed” the animatronics with its corrupted AI. The Puppet seeks to save kids and get in Afton’s way while the Mimic harms others and later tries to become like Afton (Glitchtrap/Burntrap is the mimic theory) Both the Mimic and Puppet are such narrative foils that it only makes sense that Charlie is the games equivalent to David. The trailer even has the Puppet’s music box play during it. I seriously doubt that was just to mess with fans or because it’s now an iconic song for the series. I think it is specifically telling us the Puppet, and Charlie, are going to play major roles in this game’s lore. Extra details/thoughts that might or might not be related to the game, I just wanna throw them out: -If Edwin is going to be made canon to the games, I think him and Henry are going to be working hand in hand at the factory and relate to each other over the passing of their children and other things. I really doubt Edwin exists in the game’s lore, but if he does he’d have to work directly with Henry for the timeline to make sense. I just truly don’t think the Tales books are 1 to 1 canon to the games. -While the SE trilogy says Henry’s wife left, I think all of the adjacent continuities are just places for Scott to test ideas, and game Henry’s wife died during child birth, like Edwin’s wife. I just think that grief makes far more sense as to why Henry would have left it to his creations to watch his kid. If he was just divorced, his wife would have 100% tried to take full custody if she learned he wasn’t watching their daughter. -The “secret” minigames kinda imply Afton was hands on with the murder of Charlie, but with how she was just laying in the alley, I think it’s possible Afton drunkenly ran her over, probably on purpose, then just tossed her in the alley to make it seem like a hit and run. Prevents Henry and the police from having real proof that it was an intended murder, especially committed by Afton, and would be a good reason as to why Scott chose to specify David was killed by a car. -I kinda like Matpat’s timeline so I’m still working with the idea that Afton came up with the characters, but Henry was such a genius engineer the people Afton sold his ideas to recruited Henry to make their animatronics. It’s even possible that Fazbear Entertainment was (and will be in this game) called something else. The Freddy’s gang’s popularity might have led to a total rebranding for the larger business that already worked with Henry, before Afton came and sold them his ideas. Maybe Henry being the one given all the glory for the success of these ideas is why Afton seems to hate him so much, and was gloating so much about his own engineering genius in Sister Location. Henry being overworked by the company was seen as Henry stealing credit to Afton. Also explains why the higher ups gave this guy a whole warehouse. (Saying this because of the new game and Edwin having a whole warehouse in Tales) They saw just how much they could exploit Henry’s grief, genius and work ethic to propel their company upwards. -If David truly was just a stand in for Charlie, I think that the Pupppet/Nightmarionne is the stand in for the Tiger plush and animatronic head. Charlie might have had a sock puppet toy she played with, that Henry used as the concept for the security puppet. It makes sense that if he wanted her to stay put in the pizzeria, he’d design the thing meant to stop her from leaving after her favorite toy. It also could be why we see so much Nightmarionne imagery in SB despite it not being canon till Help Wanted. The Mimic might have saw that Fazbear Entertainment made their own corrupted version of the Puppet and jumped at the opportunity to make that the symbol of its control over the pizzaplex. The Mimic would have already known about Charlie’s love for the Puppet, but because either Henry beat it for holding her toy puppet, or Charlie’s possession of the real puppet keeping it out, the Mimic decided to use the warped version of the puppet as its Story Teller persona. Also just further ties their fun house mirrored nature together. Charlie Puppet watches over the pizzerias and injects animatronics with kid souls to make them act different. Nightmarionne infects animatronics with the corrupted Mimic AI to make them act different. The Mimic/Story Teller is literally an evil and warped version of the puppet I’ll update if I can think of anymore details for my Theory/Headcanon. Thanks for reading, if you did! She would be built around the time the funtimes were made or she was cause for the theme behind the funtime animatronics. We will find out soon tho cause I doubt the scooper would be in this toy factory that the new game is based in.

A third option for why Jackie has no legs: Fazbear has just captured the Mimic who has killed at least 5 people from two teams. We know a responsible company would destroy the monster, but we also know Fazbear is not responsible. It sees dollar signs. However, it’s going to be very difficult to study and copy the Mimic technology if it’s running around killing people. Take off the legs (which were just from an existing Endo, so not really interesting from a technical standpoint). The upper torso that Edwin built, and the Mimic1 program are the real prizes. Returning the Mimic to a legless form, and even tethering it to a box that someone has to let them out of, would be a way to restrict its movement. Edwin goes missing for a long time after creating the Mimic. If the original Freddy gang that end up part of the MCI were built by Edwin, they would have been built several years before the restaurant opened, and never updated. Henry likely took over after Edwin left. If the ‘wound first inflicted on me’ ends up predating Charlie’s death, maybe Henry and William parted ways before Edwin was hired, and William had to beg Henry to come back when the new genius animatronic builder went MIA. The demo seems to point to the setting being Edwin’s factory, but after Fazbear took control of it because Edwin was nowhere to be found. With Edwin, it was mostly abandoned warehouse with a little living area, and some costume racks and workbenches, but here it seems to have a whole manager’s office. [speaking of which, the manager bot seems to be another leg less animatronic, just a torso with a desk, buttons, paper shredder, etc. Fazbear might have duplicated the Mimic already to create robots for various tasks that can learn from people (and then replace them). Just like the Pizzaplex, Fazbear would love to use AI to replace its workers with ones that don’t require time off, medical, etc. So it’s possible for Edwin, Henry and William to all coexist in the timeline, with Edwin sort of being a temporary replacement for Henry, and then returning post FNAF6 after both founders are gone. Edwin is sort of the Jeremy Fitzgerald in that regard. Cassie’s Dad and Edwin are able to fill roles similar to Mike and Henry, but are able to appear in different parts of the timeline. Edwin can act a bit like Henry (and William) from Silver Eyes. Jeremy can be a bit like Movie Mike with the single dad thing. A have your cake and eat it to situation. Like having Supergirl and Power Girl coexist in the same continuity. Sure, they were basically the same character at some point, but doesn’t make it impossible for them to occupy the same continuity.

I think Frights and Tales are both in game books as the fact it's said they are based in the world of the games implies not everything is 1 to 1 because the stories based off of real game events. Think of it this way, Fazbear Entertainment was using Fazbear Frights in FNAF 3 to benefit off of the franchises dark past, made a developer make indie games and made a VR game to cover up/make fun of the dark past and have an entire Pizzaplex full of nods to the previous games and books. That's just me though and I personally feel that this is telling us the story of what the Epilogues were based off of and also to provide unknown/covered up info Fazbear Entertainment didn't want to use/make known.

To me at least, I could see a third option, in that SOTM could confirm or deny that literary parallels can co-exist, and introduce Edwin creating the Mimic while Henry created the Fazbear Four. Edwin is basically another star engineer to Fazbear Entertainment, while Henry was the co-founder of the franchise. I could see Henry bringing Edwin in as he spots a fellow passionate engineer who could turn their costumes into animatronics, this could also mean certain book characters can be changed or adapted to be more in the games timeline or have versions of themselves placed into the games timeline that don’t drag the entire books continuity with them

Oswald's dad is Freddy Bro and he had a game and book fleshing him out. Cassie's dad is Bonnie Bro and he had RUIN and HW2 fleshing him out. So what if we play as Chica Bro's parent, probably dad? Since SOTM takes place in 1979, the youngest Chica Bro could be at the time was about or around 10. And that would have plenty of stuff to reveal about Chica Bro and their family. We could have stuff like "My kid really likes that Chica character" or "Your child, they like Chica, right?" kind of dialogue. This is literally because the other bullies have had games games dedicated to them, so why can't SOTM star Chica Bro or their parents? There is honestly no evidence for this, it's something I thought of.

henry could have made the costumes and edwin provided the technology since fazbear entertainment bought edwin's company on 1977 before that, afton and henry only used costumes for fallfest on 1970 but when fredbear's opened on january 1th, 1979, they make the springlock suits with edwin's endoskeleton technology on march 1979, the mimic story happens where after the story, henry came into the factory and finished edwin's work, since it was henry which send the costumes ("prisions of my making") the rest of the story takes place on 1980, but edwin's part is on march 1979 so most likely secret of the mimic is a direct sequel to the og story

Every rendition of Henry across games and books shows very clearly that he was the one to make the endos, it makes absolutely no sense for it to change now to fit a character that adds nothing new to the story that Henry couldn't have done. The Pizzaplex books themselves alludes to this fact too, you have Edwin, the guy who's making Chica and the little vacuum cleaner robots - which were all made by Henry in the games - and who left his child to be taken care of by one of his creations which lead to the kid's death, much like Charlie and the Puppet and then you even have Mr. Burrows as the CEO which is just a reference to William. They even die in the same place like Henry and William did. There's no narrative advantage to having Edwin as part of the games, SB and Ruin heavily teases that the Puppet or some version of her is still around and SotM not only bring in another Jack in the Box but uses the same music that is used for the Puppet, the game is much more likely to introduce something tying the Mimic back to Charlie and Henry than to bring in a new set of characters identical to them

My theory that has probably been said before is that Edwin is a standin for Henry. Henry made the mimic to streamline animatronic production, and Edwin’s son in the story is actually Charlotte. Edwin’s son getting hit by a car is the standin for William murdering Charlotte and Henry destroyed the mimic. I think that’s why Jackie is shown with the puppet music box theme. Maybe the mimic has been the puppet all along?

Re: Edwin/Henry - it's possible that Edwin works for Henry, that this place we're seeing is Henry & Afton's company's warehouse/HQ/showroom and that Edwin works there. That way Henry AND Edwin can be responsible. Re: OG4 - Freddy/Chica/Bonnie/Foxy might be around by this point. Chica and Bonnie at least should pre-date this game as Bonnie's on the Fredbear's posters and Chica was the character Edwin was working on. We also know that all four were in use by the brand, and Bonnie has his blue colouring, while Fredbear's was still operational from FNAF 4 (that's four years away from this game I know, but still, development time, and so on). We also have that coming soon poster that shows the group, and the prototype artwork, so it's possible - likley even - that thier suits or animatronics would be in development. Re: suits in the demo - from what i've read in other accounts like a large non-anthro dog (think Barkley from Sesame Street), two clowns, a crocodile/alligator and a pig. I'm not sure but Dawko might also have seen the other two Ruin suits (the lion and the peguin). I've also seen reports that a Help Wanted 2 style title screen as well, featuring a cameo from Sun/Moon/Eclipse as a mural and the frogs and hippo from the poster as, I think, full 3D models.

He was like that in the Novels because in that timeline, Fazbear Entertainment did not exist and everything was singlehandedly operated by Henry and William. But in the game timeline, Fazbear Entertainment does exist which frees up William to have a more creative role in the company, as shown with CBPW opening super early in the timeline as opposed to the Novels where its the final location to ever open. In the Games Fazbear Entertainment is a massive corporation which ran dozens of simulations locations at its peak. In "The Mimic" Edwin was bought out specifically because of this, they needed enginners to put together all the hundreds of robots that were needed. Its simply infeasible to suggest that Henry just singlehandedly made every Freddys robot and costume to ever exist. In SOTM the game seemingly takes place in an animatronic Factory, further showing that Henry was not FazEnts only mechanic on payroll.

Absolutely crazy idea... BOTH Henry and Edwin made the core four members, just in different ways. What if "prisons of my making" doesn't mean Henry created the animatronics, but simply made the characters. Kinda like someone making blueprints another person finishes, or commissioning another artist to draw your OC. So, while Henry and William handle the more business side of the company, they hire people like Edwin to actually build the animatronics. Which in turn results in the Mimic's creation, and eventually it used as a base for characters like Jackie once Edwin goes MIA. Not to mention... the Mimic weirdly loved a jester suit in the books. And what are clowns, like Jackie, but another form of jester (at least in FNAF). Overly wordy nonsense aside, this game is going to be the embodiment of opening Pandora's Box.

Henry Emily created only animatronics of the original Freddy Fazbear's Pizza of 1983-1985, just like Mediocre Melodies and Lefty, all characteristic by metal rods in their mouths. He also created springlock suits. By the time of FNAF2 FazEnt got so big Henry resorted to CEO role only leaving making animatronics to other people. Somebody else created toy animatronics for FNAF2. And so somebody else created FNAF1 animatronics who we know now is Edwin Murray. FNAF1 animatronics aren't the same as withered ones from FNAF2. Edwin created entierly new ones as redesigns of withered ones in his style which Henry obviously accepted. It's not so deep as you made it.

This dilemma is the reason why I tend to think Help Wanted was actually a reboot and not just a way to explain inconsistencies. The fact that most mentions of the original games story is presented in a meta narrative through HW and Tales introduced massive elements in the early time but didn't even acknowledge the two biggest characters of that time frame says to me that the possibility of HW+SB+Tales actually making a retelling of the original FNAF story instead of just being a continuation is far larger than what we give it credit

15:00 Fall-Fest Era: I think more simply, Edwin was the creator of the initial character designs during the "Fall-Fest-era" of FNAF. Edwin literally created the initial character designs/identities, during a time when the characters existed as costumes that circus employees had to wear. SotM Plot Idea: I think the plot of Secret of the Mimic is that, in an effort to reduce employee burden, a new idea for a semi-autonomous costume was created, giving rise to the Mimic "Jack-in-the-Box" (using 1979 technology, therefore not as "modern" of a mimic version as what Henry later created). I think the plot of SotM will be some tragedy/horror due to the mimic, in which Edwin either dies or is fired, and the idea of a semi-autonomous Character-Costume is scrapped. FNAF Company Start: Later on in the FNAF timeline, when Henry takes over engineering, he revisits this scrapped idea for a semi-autonomous costume, and thus creates the Animatronics, thereby giving rise to the "prison of his own making".

Love the video! I love vids like these, I'm excited to see how accurate you are! However, for the book part, Tales is already deconfirmed. Some appear to have canon parts/books, but many are very explicitly not canon. For starters Scott himself had little to do with making them compared to other books and games. Secondly many have direct contradictions to the games (Bobbiedots has a MAJOR contradiction that in no way can make it canon without meaning decanonising the game). Many of the non Tales books advertised as being made to solve lore has iconically been written by people who barely even know FNAF and got many basic facts wrong, and some books even contradict each other. SOME of the Tales seems to be however (such as GGY and a couple others), which relate to parts of the games WITHOUT contradicting them. Scott himself confirmed he had a huge role in making VIP, so I would also trust that book more than the rest (especially given it has no contradictions to the game)

well the Collab intro caught me off guard. I would like to beg the question on if the Box given it's attached to jackie, wouldn't it be considered her lower half as the box is actually a part of her? (and this is going in with the specific of it Being Jackie before questioning that if Jackie is the Mimic, what this means for talesgames.) going by the summary I personally will have to say yes as the Box is a Part of Jackie. and going by the summary Jackie has to rip herself out of it at the door caught off by a wall of Costumes, which means she would have had to lug that box around that (unless the summaries left out a loud crashing sound of assumingly the costumes being toppled over). just seems like such an inconvenience that if not attached, would have been gotten rid off as soon as possible, a cumbersome hinderance that's attached and is a part of her. and if Jackie was made with the box and is indeed the mimic, wouldn't that mean an already big departure from the story where it had no lower half? why was the box excluded from the story? how was it able to put on costumes while attached to the box? still though one should still beg the question, does the box count as a lower body if it is attached to the animatronic?

While rewatching this video, I was struck with a sudden thought about how Jackie might fit into the Mimic story. In the book, Edwin uploads the Mimic1 program into a random animatronic torso, but does it directly state where the torso came from? What if Jackie was a previous animatronic that was involved in some other kind of incident (either something dramatic like the fire at Fallfest, or something mundane like just being unpopular) which resulted in her character being scrapped. Given how cheap we know Fazbear to be, its perfectly reasonable to think that they'd send scrapped animatronics to be broken down and reused for parts by the engineers working on creating new animatronics. If the demo is canon to the game, Jackie ends up ripping herself off her gift box, leaving her as just a torso but otherwise intact, which would make her a perfect candidate for being the animatronic body that the Mimic program is uploaded to. If this turns out to be the case, it might give an explanation for why the Mimic is so often written to be fixated on the jester costume, as some of Jackie's original code may have been left over in the body and been absorbed into the Mimic1 program. If the original Jackie was involved in some sort of violent incident before becoming the Mimic, it might also mean that the body started out with some amount of agony before Edwin/Henry/Whoever attacked it and added more.

from my point of view it looks like the top half could very easily be Jackie but if you look at the legs of the mimic the legs look different not only to the body but to each other, what could have happened is after Jackie pulls her self from her box he repairs her self in a way to give her self legs, or some one comes in and dose it for her, and with it taking place in a factory its more than likely that there would be spare parts lying around to be used .

i personally think Henry made the blueprints and maybe working test models, but the plans were sent to Edwin to produce. Or make more sturdy etc with proper factory equipment. That or since Chica was 'the first', maybe Edwin built her, was killed by the Mimic, and then Henry took over the rest. Or maybe the theory that Chica came from a different IP that was bought by Fazbear and Edwin worked for that other company. But I also figure the books will fall into some sort of 'unreliable narrator' thing. But I'm not sure, it's all just speculation off of what little we have to go on and big jumps in logic.
